I know I'm gonna revive When I am...on the road. I've got nowhere to hide When I am...on the road. And there's no use in wondering what Made you feel like parting from me then, girl. How many more tears must I shed So as to melt the frigid wall of time? So I'm gonna break it Have no fear...on the road. You know I'm sure to make it No matter what's...on the road. I know too well it's very hard It's just barking for the silver moon. But I don't care how long it takes, As long as she lights up my way in the gloom Until the very moment When I see you again, I'll keep speeding along the road to the sun, The burning sun! Hear the roars of my car, I'm nearly round the bend, Searching for the love that we did share. There's no one who can stop me now.
Fun fact: Recognize the main character's car when he opens the garage? It's the same one in the garage at the beginning of Double Dragon. The same designer worked on both games.
Additional fun-fact: the helicopter gunship froM COBRA COMMAND ( another rail-shooter game) games as a cameo in Double Dragon II as they leave their garage.
The 90s, re-renting this game from a store called Micro Play in a small town in Canada, spending enough to having been able to purchase the game, working with a semi reliable SegaCD controller that was destroyed by spilled Cola, wanting to see the ending but never getting to. This game always stuck with me, along with Night Trap, Snatcher and Sewer Shark. Great work, thanks for this :) and thanks to TH-cam, for showing me the ending so many years later. Now if I could only find my scratched up Dragon’s Lair dvd...
@@StardustX7 I mean true but keep in mind it could be anywhere at this point, finding it exactly is going to be one big scavenger hunt that is going to take some really dedicated people to find assuming they are out there and that's assuming if they want to give it away
Amazing Great Job. I used to play this on the Mega Cd 1 back when it first came out. Always loved the intro. Shane the whole game could not be remade like that and turned into an actual racing game with more control. 👍 Great Job
Amazing job! A real blast from the past (pun intended). I can't help but think if the protagonist had these kind of driving skills, on the day, a lot of carnage could have been avoided!
This is absolutely incredible. The video is so much more clearer than the original. Excellent work. I wonder if J-walk ever made a longer version or standalone version of the song.
I would LOVE KOEI to remake this game! The same team that made Fist of the North Star Ken's Rage and Berserk: Band of the Hawk. The animation plus their heavy metal soundtrack would dominate my many winter nights of my vengeful adventure to assist the Road Prosecutor!
The frame pacing is a little weird (but understandable due to fps interpolation), i much prefer looking at it when setting the quality down to 480p; still decent video quality, but much better frame pacing that way. Good choice with the Mega CD music though.
For the daphne emulator i guess only 4 games can run at higher resolutions however this could be done with daphne singe. Would really love to see that cause this looks even better than the mega ld version by a landslide.
Data East uses these codes on their laser games. Bega’s Battle uses LX-2A (reference: data east schematics for this game use LX-2A in the document title of each schematic at the back of the manual). Cobra Command (aka THUNDER STORM in Japan) uses LX-3 (reference: Japanese logo for this game says “THUNDER STORM LX-3”). Road Blaster uses LX-V (reference: as you mentioned visible in the intro on the side of the mountain).

Oh! So many years of misheard lyrics, going back to Xmas 1995 when I got my Mega CD and Road Avenger bundled with it.

Oh man to be able to buy this game remastered looking like this with the Sega CD soundtrack intact. Please someone make this happen
WTF IS THIS!?!? AMAZING!!! My childhood is clearer lol well done! Must've been a beast of a project! Congrats!
great work, if someday you decide to launch a kickstarter to purchase the rights and remaster the whole game this way, count me in
Sadly I don't think it's very likely, the company that made the game went bankrupt
@@elliotthefennekin6506 Wolfteam?? They made a bunch of great games though.
When companies go bankrupt, they usually end up selling various things to *someone* .. I do wonder if it'd be around somewhere

One of my favorite games of all time! I played it so much I memorized every move. I could finish it on hard mode. Thanks for making this!
The interpolation makes it look like a Flash cartoon, AWESOHM!

We need to ask the lead singer BEFORE its too late : th-cam.com/video/-kT03F9grKI/w-d-xo.html
J-walk? I'm more interested in the Laserdisc version's theme.
There are 2 laserdisc versions that I know of. The Road Blaster arcade game and the Road Prosecutor Laseractive game. Each had a different soundtrack.
I always chuckle at those dudes in the capes bowing to their evil woman leader.
So much nostalgia for this, thank you!
You Should do more of these remasters. This is great stuff.
C'est incroyable 😍😍😍 Magnifique travail !!! Un bel hommage 💓

that's really weird to re-see this game in high quality :)
Did you upscale each frame in Gigapixel? That's nuts. I guess that's all we had 4 years ago.

No hay ningún anime de este juego? Me parece muy bueno 😎
That's the laserdisc video, isn't it? I'm totally against this "EVERYTHING HAS TO BE 60FPS" mindset. The original video was 24fps. Deal with it!
That just looks weird and unnatural
Finish the game and sell it to me!
Love the clean up but the 60fps is too unnatural.
Brillant work. Honestly the game was not that good, but the song was one of the very few things about gaming that got me emotional back in the days...
Haha it was so easy to lose when playing it
It's just me or they move very weird...Dunno man, I don't really like it...
It's an software made for live Action to make older shows and movies look faster used on non live Action
Jesus, this is a terrible, stuttery mess.
pretty much ruined.
wow, this looks horrible.
