    COCONUT PUDDING WITH TAPIOCA PEARLS & TARO
    (Serves 2-3 people)
    1/2 cup tapioca pearls (amzn.to/2lrjsbo)
    2 cups of water
    1 cup of taro, diced
    1 1/2 cups water
    1/2 cup coconut milk (amzn.to/2D1zMFK)
    1/3 cup of coconut milk

    I went to a restaurant and my family and I would get this dessert all the time. A year later we went back wanting this dessert and they didn’t sell it anymore and I couldn’t find a recipe anywhere so thank you

    Your tapioca didn't fully cook yet. Do not add tapioca in cold water when cooking, always boil the water first, then add tapioca in higher heat for 10 to 15 minutes, turn off the heat and cover it for another 15 minutes or until all tapioca becomes transparent

    I remember eating this as a kid 😋 I think a Filipino family made it when we went for group dinners but I think they used banana instead of taro

    Sounds delicious! Reminds me of frog eye salad, which uses acini de pepe for the pearls and coolwhip with pineaipple juice as the pudding.

    Tried this at a Thai restaurant and had to recreate it at home! My Mom makes a Bangladeshi version with whole milk instead of coconut milk. I love the jelly-like squishy texture of this pudding!

      That's what I was thinking! I would like to put mango with some coconut milk in a blender and include some of that puree, as well

    I like the way you talk. Always we are cooking like this in our hometown. We add sweet potato and ripe jackfruit.it soo yummy. We call it taberak in bisaya and cendol in our language.

      i can't believe in all my life i've had tapioca pearls for the first time after two decades! lol and i'm asian myself. i had it at this dessert place they put coconut milk and mango slices or durian ice cream. it's soo delicious!

    Ideally tapioca pearls need to be soaked in water for half an hour before boiling. Also the host forgot to add one of the most important ingredients - the pandan leaves in boiling water with tapioca pearls. Pandan leaves give this dish its characteristic flavour

    Please advise how much tapioca to put in relation to the water. I tried 1 cup and the tapioca burned at the bottom even though I stirred it. Also how much Taro to cook. Thanks

    Please note that..first boil the water and then Put the pearls in the boiling water. Otherwise, they will become mushy.
