I went to a restaurant and my family and I would get this dessert all the time. A year later we went back wanting this dessert and they didn’t sell it anymore and I couldn’t find a recipe anywhere so thank you

oh I love tapioca soo much it's super versatile :D great recipe !
Yummy coconut pudding tapioca pearls, can‘t wait to try this
I’m always into desserts making , I like this easy recipe, thanks 😊
looks delicious cant wait to try. bought the pearls/seeds i need the coconut and taro. soon. yum
Your tapioca didn't fully cook yet. Do not add tapioca in cold water when cooking, always boil the water first, then add tapioca in higher heat for 10 to 15 minutes, turn off the heat and cover it for another 15 minutes or until all tapioca becomes transparent
I remember eating this as a kid 😋 I think a Filipino family made it when we went for group dinners but I think they used banana instead of taro
Sounds delicious! Reminds me of frog eye salad, which uses acini de pepe for the pearls and coolwhip with pineaipple juice as the pudding.
Tried this at a Thai restaurant and had to recreate it at home! My Mom makes a Bangladeshi version with whole milk instead of coconut milk. I love the jelly-like squishy texture of this pudding!
Was it at thai spice?
Great Video, mouth is watering can't wait to try this. Thank you :)
Great recipes !!! Thanks!!
Looks delicious 😋🤤 will try itl 😊
Thank you - I can't wait to make this! I bet mango would be yummy in this too!
bebina tried with mango, it’s sooooo good
That's what I was thinking! I would like to put mango with some coconut milk in a blender and include some of that puree, as well
I have tried this in a Vietnamese restaurant and it was SOO delicious! Will cook more desserts with coconut milk ❤️❤️
I like the way you talk. Always we are cooking like this in our hometown. We add sweet potato and ripe jackfruit.it soo yummy. We call it taberak in bisaya and cendol in our language.
Very cool.....love it
looks good.
I’m gonna ask my mum to make this for me 💓
Made this tonite-DELISH-Thank you-stayin for more recipes-YUM!
Wow yumm!!! Definitely going to try this. Is purple taro good on this one too?

I thank you for your sharing
Delicious 😋
delicious and so chewy!
i can't believe in all my life i've had tapioca pearls for the first time after two decades! lol and i'm asian myself. i had it at this dessert place they put coconut milk and mango slices or durian ice cream. it's soo delicious!
I used to eat these all the time!
Ideally tapioca pearls need to be soaked in water for half an hour before boiling. Also the host forgot to add one of the most important ingredients - the pandan leaves in boiling water with tapioca pearls. Pandan leaves give this dish its characteristic flavour
0:49 to get started
Nice
Please advise how much tapioca to put in relation to the water. I tried 1 cup and the tapioca burned at the bottom even though I stirred it. Also how much Taro to cook. Thanks
Yummy 😋
Yum
This looks delish
hao chi :D
Veganroad I
It is :3
Can I use malanga root?
so thse pearls are the same as sago?
Yum 😋
Uh...a question, are we not suppose to mixed the tapioca pearl when we put it into the water? Cause mine came out all mushy......
As an Indian it's called sabu dana and arbi but it's new combination I wanna give a try to it
Wow
Receptylidl
Do i have to use the tero? I don't have it
My pearls keep getting stuck together, any help?
Is it possible to replace the Taro with something more common?
famous sagu in Brazil, we ususally make it with red wine =)
I swear I ate something similar from my country ( south Asia)
that is interesting i never try taro
Cool! Thanks for sharing :)
my thai coworkers make this but they put red beans in it too^^
how much tapioka pearl in 2 cups water??
you're welcome guys, by the way... for those who doesn't know tapioca comes from a root called mandioca that is native from Brazil =) tapioca it's also an indigenous name called Tupi
it looks a bit on a thicker side. Is it suppose to look like that traditionally?
what is the secret to keep tapioca from sticking to the bottom of the pot?
Is taro the same or similar to malanga because it looks just like it.
can i not put taro
Ho sic! Yum.
Do you think I can replace the taro with purple sweet potato?
Can even use banana w it
I like your video
You're welcome
What is taro
Please note that..first boil the water and then Put the pearls in the boiling water. Otherwise, they will become mushy.
At 1.37 you said add half a cup of coconut milk, but it WAS NOT COCONUT MILK....it was coconut WATER! Please clarify
What does taro taste like? And where can you get it?
@@EastMeetsKitchen thanks😌
Please get a new sieve. hoping its not rusted.
Happy monchichi 1980 sf chinese!
I think I've tried it before but with nuts
@@EastMeetsKitchen oh and raisins I'm going to have it soon when we buy the tapioca pearls
those tapioca pearls are still whitish at the core, means not well cooked yet :/
It's like *LUGAW* in the Phillipines
No it’s not. this is a dessert. Lugaw is savory, more for a meal.
No salt? O.o
💜👍💜👍
Its ok i like to cook but...always failed..
I just realised tapioca pearls are shabudana in Bengali lol
Did anyone felt like the speaker narrated the video as if she had too many cups of coffee?
I like when I see trader’s joe
very first talking how can
Sabudana khir h😅
speaks too fast for instructional video.
That looks putrid
Could you speak slower next time? Had a hard time following the instructions...
