Interesting..i made this many times but I always boil coconut milk with pandan leaves and not gula Melaka but I guess it doesn't matter..but best gula Melaka is definitely from Malacca hahaha(duh moment)..I fine the ones sold in Singapore is not as fragrant as the Malacca ones.

Tapioca pearls, you can find them in a couple different sizes. Small for pudding, a medium size my grandpa used in a candy, and then the bubble tea pearls.

I tried using Pandan Sago instead. It came in a bag. I wanted to do more so i dumped the whole bag into the pot. Omg it was super starchy like old styled glue. Had to wash off the starch a bit at a time and so far it looked the same as how yours turned out. Now waiting for the results from the fridge. Will post pix of it soon :)

Nvm I made this all on stove top in it was delicious and made this recipe but made five times more cause I had a party and they were amazing!!!!!! Expect I put more than 5 times the amount of water for the gula Melaka( I don't know what I was thinking) so I just boiled it until it evaporated and they were delicious. The coconut milk gave it a not so plain taste and the gula Melaka made it sweet and yummy! Will definitely make this again

I wonder as well. It's just that I tried so hard to find a really good videos about Malaysian cooking. Plus, you speak in English and can widely understood by people around the world and the videos are nicely edited. My friend introduced me to your cooking channel and guess what she's not even a Malay. I'm so happy to find it. You've done an excellent job but I don't understand, what's with the hate? At least, she can tell you what you can do to improve your channel but forget it. I praise your work and many Malaysian will thank you for your hard work especially for us young beginners. It's simple and easy-to-follow. Keep going and Good Luck! Fighting! 🎀🌷

Melaka = palm sugar = same name of city? How do you pronounce your name? нюня is Russian alphabet, pronounced N-yu-n-ya

It's important to talk/explain as she went along each stage of cooking, to make people understand.
