Hey I really appreciated this bit. I know Liao are mostly hated, but after looking into WHY they fight like they do, I totally admire them. Do or die, typically no meaningful reinforcements, under gunned, outnumbered. They GOTTA be a little sneaky and under-handed - or else. Thanks, Frog!
Well, Daoshen has executed Xavier McCarron and passed Xavier's heir for command in favor of Danai. I wouldn't be surprised in the MAC turns back merc when things go pear-shaped at Terra. The real problem is that the regimental command is divided by three Houses: McCarron, Baxter, and Liao.

Glad you enjoyed it! There are so many really cool stories trapped in sourcebooks that are hard to find these days. Hopefully CGL will revisit them in the future.
This is one of the units I looked into for painting my capellan forces, but opted for st ives lancers instead simply because I wanted less focus on heavy and assault, and st Ives seemed to fit the bill better
This mercenary company reminds me of Wako Rangers. But instead of them having a grudge against the Wolf's Dragoons it is the Federated Suns that had a grudge against the "Mac".
@@MechanicalFrog Yeap yeap, those get a bit boring even for me, I have a weakness for the ‘good’ guys. So it’s always nice to just see a badass merc outfit being mercs.

Very nice. I do like hearing in greater detail other things of the universe other than just mechs, because let’s be honest, mech are generously speaking, only 10% of the entire setting.
I've avoided doing videos on specific mechs because there are already a couple of great Battletech TH-camrs who do it. They're great but as you say, there's more to the IP than just the mechs.
While I'm more of a lone wolves guy for my mercs, I'd be lying if I didn't say that the big Mac has been warming to me after getting more into the lore of the setting
If you like the idea of being part of a very aggressive merc company that is a little fast and loose on the rules of conduct, the Big MAC might be perfect for you. heh.
@@MechanicalFrog still a bit more rules oriented that the lone wolves. I wonder if they do it on the regular, because it might be a smart way to quickly get loyal an competent fighters as an embattled space empire.
I gotta respect the Big MAC, I don't like them, but they put up a hell of a fight in MW5. They felt scary during the siege of Sarna.
Fact Check: True.
Probably the best Merc unit that doesn't have a history going back to the Age of War/Star League Era .
Good without massive amounts of plot armour
