Your videos are lifesaving. I suggest DOCTORS to keep them as reference to diagnose patients man. I have a recent quad tear. I been telling my doctor, he says no need for MRI, just rest, but the gait i have he thinks it is more likely my glutes. I can contract my glutes fine. Your video, man i am walking exactly like this right now. Guess where's pain when I straighten my leg? Front, down my hip, a bit far from insertion. I had been squatting way too much.
An update, it was indeed my quads. It's fixed and now I walk normal, just bouncy! Lol but I also have Anterior Pelvic Tilt, and according to physio most of my current issues are tissues and suggested me to just stand up straight as much as I can for a while till I have to sit and keep repeating. It sounds funny, but, it's actually working. Lots of new stuff also been identified. Pec minor issue, SCM and trap tightness. If you are into fitness, a good physio is a must. With muscles what happens is you know, one disfunctions other come to compensate and starts issue there too after a while! Adaptation is only human, but make sure it's adapting right. Even if you are feeling perfectly fine, an assessment can in fact help you long term.
I have this type of gait deficiency. So what, is it a matter of strengthening the Quad so that it can absorb the force upon heel strike during the walking gait cycle?
I am living in India.... I have problem walking.. I'm a boy but my move is like girls but it doesn't mean I'm a different gender. I have been in tension for the last 5 years and have also tried suicide many times. Please help me!..
Dude.. just visit a good physiotherapist preferably with masters in Orthopedics.. There may be many reasons for ur walking problem but if its due to Quad lag as shown in the video a physio can easily heal u.. No need to get suicidal on such a trivial matter.
learn as much as you can about PT and anatomy. Try to rehab yourself if you're unable to obtian external resources. The internet is an amazing place and allow you to help yourself when others are unable or unwilling. Good luck and stay strong.

Couldn’t this person just compensate with a shit ton of plantar flexion to keep the knee back?
