I swear I can still smell this car 🤮🤮🤮 The owner was beyond thrilled with how it turned out! Be sure to check out the second channel for the engine bay clean up vid tomorrow!!
From smoke infested nightmare to a fresh scented beauty, Mitch deserves an award for tackling the carpocalypse. I bet even the Kia Soul was like, Thank you for saving my soul
Sad thing is it likely still smells of smoke, won't be anywhere close to what it was before but to truly get rid of it you need to basically take the entire interior out of the car and deep clean everything. Headliner, inside the dashboard and door trims. It's a massive job that isn't realistic for a normal detail.
@@Blakecryderman7244 it’s not just the headliner though, in a vehicle like this one there will likely be tar stains and ash collected under all the trim pieces as well.
I have a 2016 Kia Rio and though the interior materials aren’t great, it’s been a noble little car. Nothing’s gone wrong on it. My mother in law had a 2014 Cerato and drove it to 200,000km before selling it. It had no issues either. They’re basic cars but really well engineered and long-lasting.
I think I’d drive all the way to Canada just to have my car detailed by Mitch. I remember when I told my grandma she couldn’t smoke in my car for these reasons. Needless to say she didn’t ride in it.
Hi there, I've been watching your videos and only wanted to say that I admire your hard work, ethic and sense of humor. I've learned a lot from you, too, and am implementing your car cleaning tips (including the Bissell and the steamer!) on my own vehicle. Congratulations on everything that you do. Now THIS is hard work. All best!
OMG! I use to drive this same exact color orange Kia Soul. My very first car to ever own. I loved my 2010 Kia Soul. But I sold my Kia Soul and replace 2010 Subaru Outback.
I don’t wait for any other channel to upload, but yours. Also, my husband will like to thank you, since watching your videos I’ve been super extra about my car’s maintenance and keeping it clean! 😂 I use to not care, we are going to give it some serious cleaning today! 😅
Just finished vacuuming my car, these videos are good motivation. It wasn't that bad FYI and I have 3 kids, teach your kids to look after their spot in the car, makes life easier
Was wondering the same thing. I’m positive he did otherwise the clean would have been kinda pointless? It would have still smelled nasty. I also wish he would have got that on video though!
I enjoy washing my car. It's so therapeutic to me. In fact I am going to wash my Honda CR-V sometime next week. And will get a good vacuum out as well. 🤗
Excellent work! Especially i had liked the way you cleaned steering wheel. Even some cold feeling have ran through my back and I've flinched afterward... Absolutely disgusting...😂😂😂
@17:22 I think I have similar but not sure if it's grime or from me gripping the steering wheel too hard through the years. Every time I bring it to a car detailer (although I only asked those drive through ones), they say nothing they can do to it and bring it to an upholstery shop. How can I tell if it's grime and treatable or if it's just me gripping too hard?
The outside of this vehicle isn’t actually bad in terms of dirt/mud/black wheels from brake dust so I doubt it gets driven a lot (considering the mileage) just makes you wonder how long the interior has been in that condition 🥴 Great transformation ✨ keep up the good work!
The chain smoking owner and the dog(s) were very rough on this small SUV. The amount of rust and scratches, damages would suggest a lot more mileage, but we can see it was NEVER cleaned. The seats, holy wow, that was bad. The grayish sludge on all the surfaces and especially on the wheel was sickening. It was so much more healthy to be in that vehicle once you were done. The 200 Latte pour from the bucket was impressive. SO much coffee colored water. Great work on this Mitch, can't wait to see the clean up vid tomorrow. Sounds like we get to see a customer reaction again. Excellent. Have a great weekend! #Mike4Mayor.
This is the best anti-smoking psa I've ever seen. If all that stuff is coming out of the carpets and seats I can't imagine what's in that person's lungs.
Hello TheDetailGeek. ☺️ I enjoy watching your videos. I'm a fan! I'm just curious, can you show how you clean the seatbelts? I've been dying to see how. Thanks! More power to you! 💯
I'm sure there's a few ways, but the way I've done it is to get a hot bucket of water with dawn dish soap and set it on the seat and pull the belt as far out as it will go and use a clamp to keep it from retracting and put the belt in the water for awhile and agitate. All the junk will come out of the belt.
Bought a 2005 Kia Sedona last year with 53k miles on it this year is has just over 64k miles. Kias are amazing especially if you can get one with low miles !
I would love to see what the interior cabin filter behind the glove compartment looks like. If it has never been changed, that would be funny 😮 to see it.
Man, you should see the sludge pulled out of my bissell after this winter when i detailed my yukon. So glad to have my vehicle cleaned after a long winter.
Ever since I began watching this channel I became such a car clean freak lol with two kiddos that love lake trips/ camping. It feels so much better driving with a clean car :)
Given how used and beat up the steering wheel is (don’t mind it beeing dirty, it is what it is) I don’t believe the car was only 80kkm. That is not possible. I once (like 10-11years ago) bought a Kia Pro_cee’d (EU) with something around that, and drobe it for some while. then it was driven by my brother and then he sold it to a friend. I’ve seen the car a week ago - besides it beeing a little dirtier than it would’ve been with me, the steering wheel, the half leather seats, all the buttons - all in 95-100% shape. Almost no wear on them. And the car is now almost 400kkm. So tell your friend he most likele got scammed with the mileage.

Thanks for your great videos, and guitar 🎸 plays, your my favorite guy in detail work.i,d bring my auto to you if I was in Canada. But Texas here, enjoy your efforts. Plus I'm not driving now, gave up auto since. Can't work, had major Stroke.half of my body is numb, all right side, But I'll keep trying, to detail my insides so they work like new. Take care awesome stuff
Everything thumbnail that has the too gross makes me laugh, I always imagine a pile of dead rats just sitting behind it for it to be that bad, anyways, great job on the car and I hope all of you have a great day and weekend!
I love it when you tackle smaller vehicles ! Our vehicles are sooo much smaller in France, big cars kinda look ridiculous in our small streets 😅 and what I see as a normal car might seem small for you
After watching a few of these videos, I’m convinced that the people who let their cars get like this have bigger problems than their cars, which is really sad. Normal people have enough shame to not let their cars become such disasters. Thank you for what you do!
I do not understand why people smoke in their cars, I am so glad that car dealers drop quite a bit off the trade in now when its been used by a smoker its disgusting and horrible for your lungs
Big fan! Lol love your work tho the attention to detail is impeccable and I’ve learned a lot to use on my truck wish you were closer would be cool to have you to detail my 22’ silverado
This excites me i love cleaning so much yes i do have O.C.D. and watching your video calms me and relaxing 😌 i just want to say your a wonderful hard work cleaning men have a wonderful blessed day 😊
You know what I find the most funny about all your videos. You take 8-15 hours doing these details. When I worked as a detailer I would have to tackle jobs like these and wasn't allowed to take more than 3.5 hours doing them and would have to get them as good as you are while doing so. It amazes me that you're a professional and it takes you 3x longer than it would to get the same results. 😂😂😂
More of a business side of the detail process, how do you and how often do you clean your equipment. Being former military we would call it routine or preventative maintenance. Thanks!
Do you have any videos showing how you take the seats and all those little pieces out of the car? Like the center console and the plastic things in the doorways? I feel like this is very therapeutic and I want to do my car!
do you have any tips for defogging headlights? Mine are fogged up, and i just dont like the way it looks. It doesn't ruin my visibility at night, but theyd definitely look better without fog

As a car detailer, I know that feeling.
Where's Mike?
Seeing the color coming out of the footwells, I would be VERY suspicious if Mike offered you any "coffee" from Timmies. Just saying 🤣
My guy, that does not look like a Bissell spot clean pro heat.....whatcha usin???
What's new? Yeah!! I am excited to see the engine bay cleaning up. Will Mike be willing to watch you how clean the engine bay?
🤔👍
Who here watches his videos to help them get to sleep sometimes? So relaxing and satisfying. 😄
I thought i was the only one who uses these videos to get to sleep! Lol definitely relaxing oddly
They definitely have an AMSR quality to them 💙
Also, the background musics were always good that don’t even interrupt when you are about to fall asleep
it’s one of a few things I watch on the iPad while laying in bed at night, it does help!!

Yes, Mitch deserves the Mike Trophy. No, not named after me, but after Mitch's twink brother Mike. Did I just say twink? Hahaha 😂

I've got a 213 Kia Forte. Great car. Roomy for a sedan. I don't want to get sucked into the Financing vortex, or else I'd buy a new one.
And in my opinion they are kind of cool looking, I don't get all the hate so many people have towards these cars.

Depending from where you would drive if it is very far then driving back will make your car the same again at least the outside
The work on the upholstery has been incredible, just like the carpets that were in ruins 😢. Awesome as always! Thanks, have a great weekend ❤👌
So sad the owner did not take care of that Kia. If the car is that bad I don't want to imagine the (former) owner's lungs
The former owners lungs are probably the same color or worse as the water being extracted from the carpet and seats.
I wouldn’t go inside that nasty smoke smell in the car. I agree it’s sad. But Mitch made it look awesome at the end
It’s only a Kia, don’t get too sentimental now
It might be a Kia Soul but it never deserved that kind of poor treatment it got
I’ve seen a smokers lungs. The stuff they cough up is actually darker than this. And their lungs are typically black for a while after they quit.
