A bit of a point about Charles Laughton. His wife claimed he was gay because they didn’t have children. Not sure I’d list folks who led heterosexual lives and never stated they were gay.
Some of these actors surprised me that they were gay. I never heard of it before. Michael Constantine was one. There were a few others. I’m not gay but it’s not for me to judge people either. Many of these gentlemen were very Talented Actors. May they RIP!🙏🏻👼😎🙏🏻
Ramón Novarro, Fred Sadoff, Liberace, Gary Bond, Anthony Hamilton, Dack Rambo, Franklyn Seales, Mauricio Sánchez, Howard Rollins. All gay actors who died of AIDS, except Novarro who was beaten to death.
Boy some of these actors I had no idea they were gay. It might have helped in organizing this tribute if these actors had been divided into three groups: 1. Gay 2. Really Gay 3. Really, Really Gay That would have helped give some frame of reference. But a nice tribute nonetheless.
I don’t want to know about what people do in their private lives. One can usually guess, anyway. It’s the flamboyant in-your-face “you’ve GOT to accept me!” that gets tiresome. I am mid-70’s and years ago, the elderly mother of a friend told me that everyone knew about Rock Hudson in the 50’s. FYI, a physician once told me that “natural causes” usually just means heart issues.
A lot of them had careers during the ‘Golden Age’ of Hollywood, either movies or tv between the 40’s thru the 70’s or 80’s. A couple were more prominent overseas.
Some of my favorite TV characters happened to be gay but portrayed guys who were happily married to women 😮 justa a testament to their amazing talents 😊
As an 88 year old gay person who attempted to hide my sexuality for a lifetime, God bless the present attitude of acceptance which all of these gay actors of the past did not enjoy!!!
It never really mattered to me about someone's sexual preference. It only ever mattered the makeup of their character and how they treated other people. I never understood the need to shout it from the rooftops, though. That makes about as much sense as shouting "Look at ME, I'm a heterosexual!"
Should have stayed in the closet, nobody cares about people who continually pervert themselves. Most people are heterolsexual but don't brag about it or expect people to bow at their feet. Get a life folks!
AIDS got a lot of them back in the 80's today they could live normal lives if they contracted it. All of these men were decent human beings that had many that loved them.
You do realize that drugs and alcohol are addictions and their brains no longer belong to them they belong to the addiction. And AIDS is an illness just like cancer or diabetes...nobody asks for any of them!!!!!
Like you, this is what was frustrating about this video. So, here’s some of the movies these actors were in: Sal Mineo - He played Plato in Rebel Without a Cause John Megna - He played Dill in To Kill a Mockingbird Robert La Tourneaux - He played the cowboy in The Boys in The Band, which is an excellent film. Montgomery Clift - He played Pruitt in From Here to Eternity. Michael Jeter - He played Edward DeLacreux in The Green Mile ( the inmate who had the pet mouse) Taylor Negron - He played Mr. Pizza Guy in Fast Times at Ridgemont High. Rock Hudson was in Ice Station Zebra Robert Reed was in The Brady Bunch tv show Richard Deacon played Mel Cooley in The Dick Van Dyke show. Dick Sargent played the husband on Bewitched after Dick York left. Paul Winfield played the detective in The Terminator. Raymond Burr played Perry Mason on tv Roddy Mcdowall starred in Fright Night and the first Planet of the Apes movie. David Ogden Stiers played Charles in MASH. Edward Everett Horton was the voice actor on the Rocky and Bullwinkel cartoon series. Sir John Gielgud was in Chariots of Fire as one the Deans at Cambridge University Van Johnson was in the movie The Caine Mutiny, another excellent film. Cesar Romero played The Joker in the laughable Batman tv show from the 60s. He was also in the original Oceans 11 movie. Jim Nabors played Gomer Pyle on the eponymous show Gomer Pyle, USMC. Christopher Hewitt played the butler on the tv show Mr. Belvedere. Kenneth Nelson was in the film The Boys in the Band. He played the role of Michael. Leonard Frey was also in The Boys in The Band. He portrayed Harold. Charles Laughton played the title role in The Hunchback of Notre Dame. He was also in the excellent movie Advise and Consent, as well as in Spartacus. This is what I could come up from memory.
Heard of about 25% of these people, the music is beautiful btw
I never knew Van Johnson was gay.
I can’t find anything confirming that Michael Constantine was gay…
Thanks for posting. I support visibility

He was gay. His partner was also his assistant who traveled to every movie set.
they may have been gay but they brought a lot of joy and enlightenment from their acting to an audience and we should thank them for that.
@@steveperry1344 you are so right they did indeed bring a lot of joy and entertainment to all
Alot of these surprised me.. but they were all great in their time..RIP to all

Jim Neighbors was gay? SURPRISE SURPRISE SURPRISE 😅
Ramón Novarro, Fred Sadoff, Liberace, Gary Bond, Anthony Hamilton, Dack Rambo, Franklyn Seales, Mauricio Sánchez, Howard Rollins. All gay actors who died of AIDS, except Novarro who was beaten to death.
Also Tom Brady and Johnny Bench

I think most gay people resent all the attention of "gay parades" and such. It doesn't change anyone's opinion of the whole situation.
I had no idea that The Joker was gay.
See "The Dark Knight Returns" (1987) Trade Paperback by Frank Miller & Lynn Varley.
yes rock hudson was gay.
I refuse be believe he was gay.
I've never heard of some of these people.
Maybe you are too young
It’s ok. We never heard of you either.
never heard of most of them.
You're not old enough mate 😂
A lot of them had careers during the ‘Golden Age’ of Hollywood, either movies or tv between the 40’s thru the 70’s or 80’s. A couple were more prominent overseas.
For me the saddest cases here by far are those who perished from AIDS…
May all these folks rest in peace, should there be such a thing.
I loved roddy mcdowall. A few i was shocked.some i was surprised a lot i didnt know them
It doesn't matter, but i didn't know some of these people were gay. Blessings and RIP❤❤❤
It's funny how you can't pay attention in life. It doesn't matter? Did it appear to you that most of these actors died of AIDS???

More like an attitude of indifference… couldn’t care less

What a crummy list to be part of.
Seems like that lifestyle isn’t conducive for living to old age
Not all actors have AIDS in this video at all
Forgot Earl Holimam
@JeanPouliot-hk6rc
It is not Holimam
It is name Earl Holliman (1928-2024) American actor.
I didn't see Dick York from Bewitched mentioned
Never knew Perry Mason was a homosexual
I didn’t know many of these men were gay.
No Ramon Novarro? or did i just miss him??
He wasn't on the list .
R.I.P
I like the Music.
We all are sinners and will be judged if not saved . Humanity has a choice
Couldn't watch till the end... So many taken from us by the dreaded big a disease.. To painfully as had a close relation that died of it also
I am #1000!!
The ones who died from drugs, alcohol or AIDS did it to themselves. Choices and consequences.
So we're all supposed to choose to be lesbians? After all, lesbians are least likely to get AIDS so therefore God has spoken, right?
Your empathy is overwhelming.
And they had more talent, fame, and empathy than you will ever have. No one will remember you when you die.
You do realize that drugs and alcohol are addictions and their brains no longer belong to them they belong to the addiction.
And AIDS is an illness just like cancer or diabetes...nobody asks for any of them!!!!!
Two most common ways to get aids\hiv are promiscuousity and needles so yes they did die from "self inflicted wounds".
Great screen artist…. But nothing to be admired….
👏👏👏👏
So what! Don’t recognise most of these people anyway. What were they in?

What were they in? Talk about the perfect set-up demanding a gay joke!!!
They were in guy's bottoms.
💋
I pray they were all "saved" before death.✝️
I pray you stop being so judgmental
Reposa in pace
Are they buried face down?
Wages of Sin are Death
its not a choice,....everyone dies, and everyone sins...so what you going to die from? Religion designed to keep the dumb in line...
We all die, so I guess we're all sinners, including you.
I’d rather cry with sinners then laugh with the saints
Homosexuality is found in every animal species, religion is found in none. Pretty clear who is the sinner here
Wonder how much aids was transmitted by CATHOLIC PRIESTS 😢
Real Men Don’t Act.
أذكروا محاسن موتاكم
never heard of most of these guys, and Frankly Scarlet, I just dont give a dam.
Yet , here you are.
We should them being them shevles
I am old school, an atheist, and do not believe in homosexual relationships. I'm with the Muslims on this one.
Since you don't believe in God, stop judging like you are God. 🙄
To each their own
antes con los gays que con esos
Video of shame, no tribute to thise animal...
Satan has them now. Praise God.
Want to guess...
where they are now...???)........Karma..!!
With your dad and uncle waiting for you.
Real christians don't believe in karma
How do you know where they are...that's between them and God...and you ain't God
