    I want to add a Citi card to my arsenal for 2023 and considering the Custom Cash. The Double cash already seems repetitive of two other cards I already have. Definitely a great "no fee" card though to increase your overall CL as mentioned. Great vid as always Chase 💥

      Go for it! 🔥 the custom cash is so nice with its flexible spend category.

    With the sign up bonus, its definitely a card I recommend for everyone as a catch all card for cash back setups!

    I actually product changed from the Double Cash to the Custom Cash a few months ago. The double cash card is a great card and served me well but I have both the Wells Fargo active cash card and the Apple Card so I needed a little product separation in my no annual fee credit card/2%/non category spend cards. However, the citi double cash was my favorite amongst those 3.
    Great video as usual Chase.

    • @ChaseYokoyama
      @ChaseYokoyama  ปีที่แล้ว

      That makes sense. The custom cash will do you wonders with that 5% flexible category! 👍🏽

    It was either CDC or Wells Fargo Active Cash but WF's rewards points redemption conditions weren't as flexible.

    I personally prefer the Chase Freedom Unlimited for my "catch-all" card. 2% cards like the Double Cash definitely have their place, but I feel like there's a lot more competition out there today than when this card was first released, and the CFU is one that tops it in my opinion. Either way you go, I think it's super necessary to build out a trifecta or at least get a higher tier card (Chase Sapphire Preferred or Citi Premier) to transfer your points out to travel partners as you mentioned. Great breakdown Chase!

    • @ChaseYokoyama
      @ChaseYokoyama  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Oh ya! the CFU is my go to as well 👏🏼 the Chase ecosystem is just too nice.

    Great video Chase.
    If citi did not remove all their benefits and protection. (No cell phone protection for being a world elite Mastercard). I wouldn’t mind the double cash card. However I replaced that card with the sofi card and have no regrets.

    • @callmeNeno
      @callmeNeno ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes sir, Citi has a history of stripping benefits and leaving you hanging ~~

    • @ChaseYokoyama
      @ChaseYokoyama  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I agree. There are better options out there TBH 🤷🏼‍♂️ but sometimes you can't get those cards so the double cash is the last resort lol. Maybe I should make a review on the sofi card.

      Hey Chase, So I contacted Citi to see if there is a way to reallocate credit limit. This was the response I got. I am really sorry about the miscommunication but the credit line cannot be transferred within the Citi credit cards.
      8:19 PM
      Is that something new that was just recently added.
      Read 8:19 PM
      As per the current update there is no such option to swap credit line within Citi cards

    The advance move is to get Citi AA card and then downgrade to Custom or Double Cash. The miles from the sign up bonus are worth more than $200. Usually 65k to 75k offers. You may also get a higher credit line applying to one of their AA cards since that program is revenue based.

    How many points do you get per dollar? Cause isn't 2 points worth way less than 2 dollars?

    • @ChaseYokoyama
      @ChaseYokoyama  ปีที่แล้ว

      U get 2 points per dollar. and yes, they are worth way less than $2. They are around 1 cent per point. So 2 points is worth about 2 cents.

    What’s the average credit limit for this card

    • @ChaseYokoyama
      @ChaseYokoyama  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I don't know what the average would be. But the minimum is $500, and my gut feeling is that a limit from $500 - $1,200 would be pretty common.

    Putting "worth it" in the title seems a little silly for a no annual fee card. You're not paying anything for the benefit of 2% back.

      Citi Thank You points are around 1 - 1.5 cents per point. So 16,000 points = $160 - $240
