I'm supporting them as much as possible, I even buy the same comic twice with different covers just to give them that small extra. Sadly not everyone has money nor access to these comics which is why I put them out. I've already pre orders 2 copies of this issue. If IDW comes out and requests us to not put them out then I won't, comics sadly aren't something everyone can get access too and with how expensive things are these days I'm putting out the smaller things to make people happy while I support the company myself the best i can.
5:20 I think it's funny that they point out that a lot of Sonic's friends have actively tried to harm or kill him at one point. Knuckles got tricked by Eggman and tried to shoo Sonic off of angel island, Silver nearly killed him, Shadow is just Shadow, E-101 is an Eggman creation so of course he would try to scrap Sonic up. Heck, even Eggman himself plays nice with Sonic once in a while, and he's the main villain. Sonic either really needs to find a better way to make friends, or has cracked the code on how to make long standing freindships.
I was worried on the plot logic but it make it sound, really looking forward to see Surge and Kit "fit in" and interact with the restoration members, this is certainly a great chance to have them team up while not being truly allies.
Clutch is giving Fang a run for his money. Not only did he hired Mimic, Rough & Tumble, but also Surge & Kit. Speaking of Kit, he has gone full Kieran (From Pokémon Scarlet & Violet) on the entire chapter. 😂
I like how Surge finds Sonic’s redeemed rivals to be folkways. If she ever does find the urge to go good, she’ll probably deny it or feel like she’s *becoming one of them*

Usually I thought Surge and Kit could be anti heroes just now but I was wrong and back to planning and sharing alliance with Mimic and Clutch. Let's be fair Kit has been glare and grooming this tire time on each page even Whisper glare at Surge but never met Kit
Though it's kinda cathartic to see Surge mulling over everything Sonic told her about his friends was ALL TRUE, and that he was serious about his philosophy on letting others have the freedom to choose what to do in life. I won't doubt that this'll really make her rethink wanting to kill everyone he cares about.

I don't think guys like rough and tumble can make it in easy though. and for the case of mimic.. probably never if he wasn't wearing any disguise. all of this guys were locked up in prison not to long ago any ways
I like how everyone believes that the shady businessman and the 2-time backstabber are just gonna help Surge and Kit without some strings attached. I feel like we may just see Mimic frame Surge for something using his shapeshifting powers, thus making his disguise as Duo less suspicious. Using the Imposter Syndrome duo as scapegoats to make himself more "innocent"
I think Clutch is becoming one of my favorite Sonic villains. He is using past comic exclusive villains to help him in his plan to takeover Restoration, such as Mimic(who has infiltrated the Restoration under the guise of Duo and is tainting Silver and Lanolin's reputations), Rough and Tumble(who are stealing Egg Tech.) and now Surge and Kit.
Wow, Sonic IDW 67 was good, Surge & Kit return, taking down Rough & Tumble, even running into Blaze & Silver, then Clutch & Duo/Mimic, Surge, Kit, Duo/Mimic, Clutch teaming up to take down the Restoration, Sonic & Restoration aren’t aware of this, Jan 2024, Sonic & Tails explore mysterious creek, then new miniseries to kick off 2024 featuring Bean, Fang the Hunter & Bark the Polarbear.
I'm glad that Silver more or less on better terms since issue 64 since he's now shipping deliveries and Whisper's distrust is once again validated, since we now know that Surge and Kit have not actually reformed and are working with Clutch. I guess issue 64's story didn't actually break her confidence
well DUH! Lanolin said for him to stay away UNTIL he could learn to be more responsible, not permanently. i've pointed that out more than once, wasn't anyone paying attention to detail

Probably for the best too. Not only because it's always fun to see Silver and/or Blaze around more often, but given that hell is about to break loose with Clutch's plan, Sonic and the others are gonna need their help. 😅
as for why Whisper was no "kicked out", it's probably because lanolin undertsnads HER "dillusional paranoia" comes from her trauma, which she generally learnt from issue 58, but finds Silver's ludicrous
I have 2 minds on this issue On one hand, I think the dialogue and character dynamics with Surge were done great. On one hand, them justificating for surge and kit is also dumb. Tangle/Lanolin really j ust went "oh sonic/Amy's judgement is good I trust them" after that whole ordeal with Silver. Whisper remained the only one with a brain. Then there's also the criticized to death Sonic being more forgiving n all. Considering Ian said that fucking somehow the sonk timeline takes place in 1 year and half, their fight probably happened around 5 hours ago lol.
That can't even be possible considering all the other miniseries. Urban Warfare happened over maybe a night but Overpowered definitely was longer and Scrapnik happens overnight too so the timeline of just these comics is all messed up. Also with Tangle just being okay with it was messed up in my opinion. She should have bodied Surge the second she walked in.
Ok so Lanolin is like “sure whatever” Tangle is following Sonic like a moth to fire. Whisper rightfully has her guard up. And Mimic is still here. Ok I’m not gonna lie, IDK if that’s the goal here but it feels like the diamond cutters are just incompetent at this point. Whisper is literally the only responsible one here and even she’s messed up a few times. Sonic keeps pulling the same live and let live and has been called out so many times. Kit has some Vendetta with Tails for some reason and Surge is just going through the motions of this plan because not only she has a possible lead to finding out her past she's probably bored as sitting in a dirty Factory all day long
He hates Tails because he sees himself as being an imitation for what Tails is. He also sees Tails as someone who wants to control him and Surge. He dislikes both but hates Tails in particular for being the “better” partner

I can understand Metal Sonic and somewhat Shadow but I guess I’m looking into it too much. Sonic usually comes out on top anyways due to his ability to adapt.

i like that the past few arcs have been testing sonic's morals of giving people second chances, he already had lots of reconsidering during the metal virus, and maybe restoration hq's (second) fall will really get him questioning it
Personally, Surge and Kit just being ok after what happened to them is very odd. Was half expecting Clutch or someone to revive/fix them or something but no they are just alive. Makes their last issue seem overly-dramatic for nothing. Also strange to see Silver in the resistance again after what happened. Would've of thought he want to keep his distance after his incident. Heck he even plays a joke on Sonic with his telekensis when Lanolin gave him shit for not using it wisely. I hope he at least gets a apology after all this.

You would probably expect them to be elsewhere after all that, hiding. Or travelling around to avoid getting caught at one location.

Did you not pay attention to when he was talking about scrapnik island? I feel like if i was in Sonics shoes and didn’t know about surge and kit’s true intentions I would give them a second chance too. Their lives were literally torn away from them and rewritten into something else entirely against their will. And in his whole “holier than thou grandstanding” he explains that he’s made friends with his enemies before, like knuckles, shadow, silver, and blaze to name a few. So he has a reason to believe that he can give them a chance.

I guess "mooks" is the new word of the day. Sometimes it feels like the writers discover a new word to use and make sure its used multiple times in a chapter making it seem like its part of a characters vocab even though they've never said it before and soon enough will never say it again

The chances of Surge and Kit staying evil are slim to none. Think about it, how many rip off Sonic doppelgänger designs stay Sonic’s enemy? They even straight up mentioned it in this issue. There is only one character who continues to be Sonic’s rival, and I’m not talking about Eggman.
Probably Surge and Kit tries to Sabtoge the base Whisper Tangle Lanolin will get suspicious of Surge and Kit then Tails will be concerned then they face off against Surge Kit then Kit water bends Amy Hammer right back at her and Surge kidnaps Belle to fix the dynamo cage then they search for the choas emeralds more whisps and probably another gem of power only used by evil characters then their probably a twist that Starline is secrectly alive and he mind control Surge since he used some of his DNA to create Surge

I'll be honest with you, what a mediocre chapter, I hate how everyone acts and tries to hide that the actions that Surge committed were a simple mistake, please this is the worst chapter for me and that from the beginning I already had 0 expectations for it to be even worse than I thought

My point is this guys are not that threatening and they are not that evil compare to these guys I will mention Cough cough Mephiles the Dark who wanted to destroy all existence and is a powerful god being. Cough cough Infinite the jackal who almost killed Sonic at his first time meeting with him and let's be real and honest he is more of a threat than these three because the power he had with the phantom ruby. Zavok well I think you know why his ruthless nature and given on how strong he is. He is more powerful than any of these three combine. And then I could just throw others who are more evil and more powerful Erazor Djinn who is a genie, Dark Gaia, Time Eater and more. Compare to these guy yeah they are not that powerful and evil compare to the names I mention. So I think people are just overreacting to this by saying the resteration are screwed.
I think it's more of the fact that while Sonic could body all 3 of them the others not so much and since these are guys they've never faced before they don't know how they can be taken down and Sonic technically never beat Surge and Kit. Surge did it to herself twice and Kit ran out of water and passed out. So they've technically never been beaten and since Mimic can just be anyone he wants, the only one who knows its definitely Mimic is whisper and maybe Tangle, so while I agree that the restoration could take them on, it's more on the fact that they don't know what to expect
even the weakest opponent if it have the source, can be a real problem, clucth have everything to make this pharse true, he have mimic, surge, kit in the restoration base, perhaps many have keep an eye on them, nothing seems critic for they to the moment, clucth also have much comunications like the babilon roughes, he can also have others contact(ejem fang ejem) , and all the machinery of eggman in his hand, i think the possibity he have to destroy the restoration is higher than many thinks, but the answer of sonic and his friend will be a big lose for clucth, at least this will proof how dangerous clucth can be in a future.

My reactions towards certain parts in the issue... The Diamond Cutters faces when the see Surge and Kit in the Restoration... 😂 Yes! Best girl Whisper being the only one out of the Diamond Cutters to not trust them was awesome! The ending with the "Due" revealing himself to be Mimic to Surge and Kit. Ahhh! My worst nightmare for this series is happening! And then... There's Amy's line of "security has been tighten" and I'm like... 🤦♂️ Really Amy!? Security has been tighten! Are... Are... Are you and the rest of the heads of the Restoration this stupid! Like... Number one! You let an asshole like Mimic into your ranks! Besides only one person in the whole of the organisation knowing who he truly is! Number two! Clutch of all people somehow got into the Restoration to meet with Jewel! And now... YOU'RE ADDING SURGE AND KIT INTO YOUR RANKS!!! God! Damnit! This really is going to lead to the end of the Restoration! Oh, and they still haven't given a name to the Orangutan mechanic. But overall... Really good issue.

I've seen this setup a million times before. As the plan goes on, Surge and Kit grow closer and closer to the restoration, and when the plan goes into action, they decide not to go through with it and genuinely reform (for the most part.)
Also I like this banter that Sonic and Surge have with each other knowing that the gloves are off if either one of them gets in each other's way

I think Clutch is becoming one of my favorite Sonic villains. He is using past comic exclusive villains to help him in his plan to takeover Restoration, such as Mimic(who has infiltrated the Restoration under the guise of Duo and is tainting Silver and Lanolin's reputations), Rough and Tumble(who are stealing Egg Tech.) and now Surge and Kit.
Surge: "Hey, are we cool?"
Whisper: "you ate my family"
Surge: (laughs hysterically) “I didn’t want to eat them!”
Surge: "hey don't worry, they were my family too" (love the dbz abridged reference by the way)

I'm glad that Silver more or less on better terms since issue 64 since he's now shipping deliveries and Whisper's distrust is once again validated, since we now know that Surge and Kit have not actually reformed and are working with Clutch. I guess issue 64's story didn't actually break her confidence

as for why Whisper was no "kicked out", it's probably because lanolin undertsnads HER "dillusional paranoia" comes from her trauma, which she generally learnt from issue 58, but finds Silver's ludicrous

I have 2 minds on this issue
On one hand, I think the dialogue and character dynamics with Surge were done great.
On one hand, them justificating for surge and kit is also dumb. Tangle/Lanolin really j ust went "oh sonic/Amy's judgement is good I trust them" after that whole ordeal with Silver. Whisper remained the only one with a brain. Then there's also the criticized to death Sonic being more forgiving n all. Considering Ian said that fucking somehow the sonk timeline takes place in 1 year and half, their fight probably happened around 5 hours ago lol.
That can't even be possible considering all the other miniseries. Urban Warfare happened over maybe a night but Overpowered definitely was longer and Scrapnik happens overnight too so the timeline of just these comics is all messed up. Also with Tangle just being okay with it was messed up in my opinion. She should have bodied Surge the second she walked in.

Personally, Surge and Kit just being ok after what happened to them is very odd. Was half expecting Clutch or someone to revive/fix them or something but no they are just alive. Makes their last issue seem overly-dramatic for nothing.
Also strange to see Silver in the resistance again after what happened. Would've of thought he want to keep his distance after his incident. Heck he even plays a joke on Sonic with his telekensis when Lanolin gave him shit for not using it wisely. I hope he at least gets a apology after all this.

Did you not pay attention to when he was talking about scrapnik island? I feel like if i was in Sonics shoes and didn’t know about surge and kit’s true intentions I would give them a second chance too. Their lives were literally torn away from them and rewritten into something else entirely against their will. And in his whole “holier than thou grandstanding” he explains that he’s made friends with his enemies before, like knuckles, shadow, silver, and blaze to name a few. So he has a reason to believe that he can give them a chance.

And again, she was close SO CLOSE to choking Sonic and shocking him to death. And through it all she resented him. Sonic doesn't even trust Eggman, he knows everything about Sonic even down to his weaknesses. He doesn't let him know everything or have him try and join his team cause he knows how cruel he is. I'll be honest with you, what a mediocre chapter, I hate how everyone acts and tries to hide that the actions that Surge committed were a simple mistake, please this is the worst chapter for me and that from the beginning I already had 0 expectations for it to be even worse than I thought

This is a joke right? Im starting to understand why other people see this as directionless. Ian and Evan are just tossing stuff at the wall to see what sticks and my god does it show. Why is Sonic so stupid here?! He knows how dangerous Surge is and yet hes fine letting Amy give her a tour of everything? I know hes letting it play out but this hasnt worked well for u in the past my favorite hedgehog u pushed surge again and again and she technically did kinda kill u a few issues ago.

This might be controversial but I do not worry if I was the restoration because we have only Surge, Kit and Mimic the octopus.

My point is this guys are not that threatening and they are not that evil compare to these guys I will mention

Cough cough Infinite the jackal who almost killed Sonic at his first time meeting with him and let's be real and honest he is more of a threat than these three because the power he had with the phantom ruby.
Zavok well I think you know why his ruthless nature and given on how strong he is. He is more powerful than any of these three combine.
And then I could just throw others who are more evil and more powerful Erazor Djinn who is a genie, Dark Gaia, Time Eater and more.
Compare to these guy yeah they are not that powerful and evil compare to the names I mention. So I think people are just overreacting to this by saying the resteration are screwed.
I think it's more of the fact that while Sonic could body all 3 of them the others not so much and since these are guys they've never faced before they don't know how they can be taken down and Sonic technically never beat Surge and Kit. Surge did it to herself twice and Kit ran out of water and passed out. So they've technically never been beaten and since Mimic can just be anyone he wants, the only one who knows its definitely Mimic is whisper and maybe Tangle, so while I agree that the restoration could take them on, it's more on the fact that they don't know what to expect
even the weakest opponent if it have the source, can be a real problem, clucth have everything to make this pharse true, he have mimic, surge, kit in the restoration base, perhaps many have keep an eye on them, nothing seems critic for they to the moment, clucth also have much comunications like the babilon roughes, he can also have others contact(ejem fang ejem) , and all the machinery of eggman in his hand, i think the possibity he have to destroy the restoration is higher than many thinks, but the answer of sonic and his friend will be a big lose for clucth, at least this will proof how dangerous clucth can be in a future.
Okay the writers are making everyone too trustworthy. They're out of ideas.

Are you and the rest of the heads of the Restoration this stupid! Like... Number one! You let an asshole like Mimic into your ranks! Besides only one person in the whole of the organisation knowing who he truly is! Number two! Clutch of all people somehow got into the Restoration to meet with Jewel! And now... YOU'RE ADDING SURGE AND KIT INTO YOUR RANKS!!! God! Damnit! This really is going to lead to the end of the Restoration!
