Looking at getting one of these. Thanks for the video. I get my dies from Bradshaw steel rule dies in Ontario. Thick clear acrylic backers definitely make using them easy. All of mine so far have been about the same price you mentioned.
I just bought an arbor press thinking it would save a few quid, ima thinking...mistake...too many modifications needed to do to make it compatible with dies...this looks better and appears to do what it says on the tin, thanks for the tip,
Did you get one of these or do you just use the Arbor press? I am considering getting an Arbor press for hot stamping (of logos, names, etc) and was thinking it might be able to be used for clicker dies and hot foil stamping as well...
Thanks, a timely video for me too - next machine I want to get as my hand cutting out is horrible most of the time :) Now just have to convince the wife :D
Great demostraton. Can I use it as paper puncher to punch holes precisely on the same spot everytime or does the blades shift a bit when you press it? I need to puch paper holes and make a designated points to place stacks of paper and needed holes on the same spot all the time. thanks a lot
@@orramanleather What is it made of ? I have this leather cutting machine and my dies get stuck in the leather all the time, especially around the stitching holes areas so am wondering what this is exactly ? Thanks for any help.
Unfortunately I don't know the answer to that question but my die maker is Justin over at Bradshaw steel rule dies. He's a solid dude! Shoot him a message and he'll be able to answer any questions you might have 🙌
Hello, you could use steel dies without the wood backing for sure with this press im pretty confident as its such a good machine however my advice would be get a backed die just in case. the backking disperses the weight throughout the die so it can cut. I currently dont use these wooden ones any more and I have upgraded to some dies from Milwaukee steel rule die. these are glass backed, im pretty sure the glass is bulletproof actually, anyway, those are much better as you can see whats happening underneath. There is a new video on this in the works!
Yes you absolutely can and I did end up doing this with some of my dies. I actually use glass backed dies now though from Milwaukee. I'll be making a new video on this really soon! They are way better and very on par with each other price wise. Hope that helps!

I'm looking at getting one of these. Thank you for your review
Did you ever do a review of the die cutters with the glass / transparent tops? Thanks :)

Would you put some links on your videos please Chris of where you get your leather, equipment, tools etc
Very cool video break down of how the machine works!

Great video, man! I've been tempted to buy one of these for a long time now. You may have just given me the push I needed.
Did you ever get one of these? If you did, how have you found it? Is it worth getting instead of e.g. an Arbor press?
What would be probably the thickest leather it could cut? I'm looking at one for cutting up to 10oz
Do you think it would cut through a leather belt?
have you tried stamping into leather?
What is the grey sponge material on the die, and does it help ?
Hey! This is to eject the leather from the blade after it cuts!

@@orramanleather OK thanks, I'll pop over there now cheers.

Yea you can use this to press your stamps absolutely!
Thank you. Informative!

Would this be any good for embossing plates?
What are the specifications of the spring used in this
Great review. thank you
Please advise: will it cut card stock?
Hey! Yes it will! Very easily aswell, it's a great, versatile machine!
Great video!!!👌👏👏👏
thank you!

@@orramanleather Thank you!
How do you spread the tokonole for your edges?
I cut tokonole 50/50 with water and put it in an edge dye pen!
Thank you for video! Useful 🙏
What's Supernatural got to do with a Press ?
The accuracy issue is not the press but rather the die.
Agreed, the second I went to glass backed dies from Milwaukee the accuracy issues went straight away 👍🤟
Could you not trim the wood to a better size so accuracy can improve?
Yes you absolutely can and I did end up doing this with some of my dies. I actually use glass backed dies now though from Milwaukee. I'll be making a new video on this really soon! They are way better and very on par with each other price wise. Hope that helps!
@@orramanleather Yes thank you for getting back to me.👍
Yeah but they don’t ship to Texas 😢
Creative printers do I'm pretty sure yea! Just send them an email!
It's the same thing as a Vevor leather cutting press, and you can get those in the USA.
Price ?
Check it out at creative printers of London!
