However none of this is any good if you choose the wrong option on the screen. Always choose decline conversion when you withdraw cash. The money still has to be converted, it just means that your bank does the conversion, instead of the cash machine operator using their own terrible rate. Last year my mother withdrew I think €300 in France, and if she had chosen to accept the conversion, it would have cost £20 more
Thanks so much for this video! It was great to see the video of you using the card, getting the money, and the screen recordings of the reimbursements.
That is a good option but when traveling to vietnam, there is even a better option you can get a better exchange rate by going to a gold or jewelry store. Market exchange currency from 1 usd is about 24.1k vnd but if you go to a gold/jewelry shop it’s about 24.6k just got mine exchange today
Some conterys like Iran are not connected to the global financial system and you can't use forigine cards to get local money, the best way is to bring US dollar and convert it in Iran, currency other than USD are harder to convert to Iranian rial
I am going to France next week what card should I use for payments in France I am from UK . please guide me sir I have monzo and Lloyd bank accounts.. can I use there cards?
@@MaxMilesPoints dang, I was living in Fountain Valley, OC for 7 years then kept moving around for schools, work and business the next 6 years. Btw love your videos. Tons of other like Ask... I have saved so much money from your channel :) Great work brother.
Use starling if you can set an account up they don’t charge transaction fees I’ve used it in Spain no issuies when I wanted some cash but mostly everywhere is card now
Which is why I have debit cards that I use exclusively for travel and only put whatever money I feel comfortable in there and only use it to withdrawal local currency out of an atm. Don’t tell me you’re using a credit card to withdrawal money out of an atm 😂
@@MaxMilesPoints matei know your just trying to peddle these cards but your advise is useless , what if i want a big night out in ho chi minh ey, you gonna stand there at the ATM for an hours trying to get cash out cause they only dispense max 6mil dong? My rent in ho chi minh was like 60mil and they only took cash, so you want me to take 60mil out of the ATM lol you're funny guy And that ATM you used, you dont even need to insert a card to get cash out lol In fact i dont even have a bank account and can get money from that ATM, Can you even lock that debit card? IF you can why would you need to only keep a small amount in there? None of your advise makes sense or is actually useable in reality. If we were in ho chi minh and we had a challenge to get $10,000 cash in an hour, me with no cards no bank and you with all your cards you're gonna lose and if we were in myanmar bro it would be no contest if we in lebanon bro you gonna be waiting weeks lol Mate i'd love to just cut up all your cards dump you in Yangon and see how you figure it out without callin mommy for help ;)
I personally love Schwab definitely more useful in fraud case and they can ship worldwide if you lose the card. But you get reimbursed at the end of the month not instantly
Of all the other credit cards youtubers, I think ONLY Max qualifies to create content for expats, long-term int'l travelers, US living aboard on the BEST credit cards/ATM cards/etc.. for these folks, like myself for Asia.

Max is there any other issuer (ATM) like one of these commercial banks or credit unions that will reimburse ATM fees and no FTF? TIA.
Schwab bank reimburses 100% of ATM fees and does not charge foreign transaction fees.

Are they still offering this ?

Using a debit card is so dumb, if your card gets copied the bank won't reimburse your stolen money
