These is the best tutorial because we can make in 2 different ways the fish and other sea creatures that are not made of fondant. Also all the details for the gelly to don't go out when cooling. Thank you so much.
We tried this but the gelatin just poured right through any tips on how to correct it? I've set the cake back in the fridge so hopefully the icing will set again.
So I assume you can't put fondant decoration in a jelly? What about a modelling chocolate? I want to make some sea scenery with a dolphin and a mermaid so they'll have to be made by hand (not from a silicone casting) so I don't want them to melt and bleed into the jelly 🤔 Beautiful cake by the way 😍
Thanks I tried this and completely ruined my son's birthday cake after baking all day and now have to start from scratch before work because the cool gelatin soaked into the cake.
So informative ❤
Thank you!

What can be used instead of acetate??
We tried this but the gelatin just poured right through any tips on how to correct it? I've set the cake back in the fridge so hopefully the icing will set again.
Oh no! Did you tape the acetate and wrap the base in cling film/saran wrap and tape that, too?
Yes, we did we'll re-do the jelly part properly.
It worked! Thank you so much for sharing your recipe!
@@nicolewong9488 Oh good! I'm so happy to hear that!
Have you tried making a cake using whipped cream

Oh no! Did you frost and chill the cake before pouring the gelatin around it?
@@BritishGirlBakes yep, in the freezer even.
