Hey Mike 🫡 nice bash today nice to see your savage out I had mines out today and overheated esc because the pinion kept loosening the pinion grub screw yet not actually letting go of grip so was spinning just not as much as the shaft was I sat down infront of him and ponders why kept thinking must be centre diff I put in via Alza hardware Turns out was the grub screw so I’ve swapped to 23t on slim castle 1650kv 8s and will see how we do On 20t he’s wild on 6 or 8s and temps are very well within 80c range 🥳💥 you and this rig helped me know it can be done and done well🥳😎
High mike. I bought a kraton 8s exb. What are your thoughts on a decent steering servo. This is my first 5th scale. I don't want to buy shit, but I want what I pay for. 🤷♂️
Well I think you can run a full sized 1/5th scale servo OR a 1/6th scale servo in the Kraton.....just like the outcast. There are different mounts for each. If you look real clostly at the stock mount you will see the mount labeled 1/5 or 1/6th. You need to figure out which size mount you have first. Or you can purchase the $20 part that gets you both sizes. I don't have alot of experience with 1/5th or 1/6th scale servos. I have 1 in my "maxzilla" xmaxx (cheap Chinese knock off), 1 in my 8s outcast (savox) and 2 in my raminator (dual Reefs beast 2000's) I've heard good things about pro modeler brand servos, but be careful because some of those need a separate battery of their own to operate it....kind of like my reefs beast 2000's on my raminator.

I know this is an older video, but how did you get 4s batteries in those battery boxes?
I have LOTS of different sized batteries. But I'm not gonna lie. It was TIGHT! It is doable though.😉
