    If you want to visit France, there is the France Passion scheme that provide a book with a lot of farms with parking facilities for overnight stay. It is similar to britstops but with French farms and producers. Thanks a lot for this very interesting video, Greg, looking forward to see more of your travels

    Good vid as usual Greg. Just finished our LWB Spriner conversion while in Portugal! Now we are ready to start exploring. Your videos were invaluable during our conversion so many thanks owed to you. If you’re ever on the Algarve I’ll happily buy you dinner and a few beers 👍 latest video is spot on too. We’ve just stared using the park4night app which, as you say, is great. Which only leaves me to finally add - what 3 bellends have hit the dislike button?? Can’t please them all mate. Safe travels 🙏

    Probably watched 20 of your videos in the last week and found them better than other resources I found, including paid ones! I can't thank you enough. One thing I haven't found is advice on buying a van. Your choice is outstanding and based on my search you got a great deal. I'm ready to buy something similar and start my adventure under your guidance. I would *really* appreciate any advice you could offer on how to get a deal like that. Thanks again

      With the popularity of van life and the rise is demand for courier vehicles van prices have increased considerably. It’s getting increasing difficult to find a cheap good van.
      Service history is a good indication that it’s been looked after. Check the free MOT history to make sure mileage and any observations have been rectified. Even paying for an AA or RAC inspection can be money well spent. We sourced our van from a local van sales forecourt.

    Great Vid Greg. a few things...
    1) I have found Britstops to be very useful in past.
    2) Wear Away mentioned in their prog last night that Portugal has virtually closed down Wild camping , and its now highly frowned upon.
    3) Great how you got that car to reverse up the mountain pass in your aerial shot .
    4) Those Dutch boats go really fast. ( as a kid, i used to wonder how all the running world records were being broken , because everyone used to run so much faster in the early black and white movies).

    • @GregVirgoe
      @GregVirgoe  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      3) we paid a stunt driver especially for that shot. No expense spared making these videos 🤣

    • @ammdias
      @ammdias 3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Current law in Portugal is you may park and stay up to 48h anywhere except: 1. Where parking is explicitly not permitted by a road sign (for all vehicles or just mobile homes); 2. Natural Parks and wildlife preserves. Of course, in public parking not explicitly for caravans you should not occupy more than one place, or part of the road. It will be frowned upon and you may expect the visit of the authorities if put your awning out or make a barbecue, etc. Wild parking in Natural Parks, where people make parties with lots of noise and leave trash all around is the cause for the law to be more strict now.

    Thanks for the info. I was wondering how far do you plan before you start your holiday. Do you plan the route out first and then find sites as you go along maybe a few days ahead or is it spontaneous ie you go somewhere and think I'd like to go there now and just move on, never knowing where you'll be in a week. Maybe a video on how you structure your vacation.
