Title says1,000 mile test. To me this sounded more like reading the literature that AGV includes in the box. Little mention of day long comfort, venting or sound at speed. Oh yea wear earplugs over 50 mph-great advice. Pressure points? Shield positions? Able to maintain partially open shield at speed?
I think RevZilla does a comparable job of enumerating sales points. Thanks for the AGO corporate tour!

Had a 1kg track Bell helmet, now have a 1.6kg Arai. Weight doesn't make such a difference in the long run, the sound proofing does.

I've got this helmet. Only thing I don't like are the vent and visor controls which are hard to use with thick gloves.
Thnaks for the first real life review of the helmet. Have you also tested neotec 2, any impressions how they compare? I personally returned my neotec and now waiting to test and buy the AGV.

Thanks Michael, good review. I am left unsure, however, can one have the sun visor down with the chin section up? You seemed to imply one couldn't but I saw an advertising shot in that configuration.

I have the opportunity to get this helmet so, If you don't mind, I would like to know if you still use the helmet now for your daily usage.
And, in any case, if you finally liked the helmet after all the time you have used it.
Finally, in terms of fitting, I'm offered a size S although I usually use M. Does it get some shape after some time using it?

Hi, yes I still wear the helmet a lot mainly because it remains comfortable, practical and, dare I say it, stylish. Admittedly, I’ve ridden many sports bikes recently and have used my Pista GP-R instead but for touring or even naked bikes it’s an excellent choice. I’m very pleased with the helmet. I wear an M and the size is very accurate so if you’re normally an M I’d be worried that the helmet you’ve been offered would be too small. Good luck and do let me know how you get on. At the end you were right. The S size was too small. And the M was a little bigger than my current helmet so, very unfortunately, I had to forget about it.

After I owned the helmet for 1 month, I wonder why few things are not included in the review. 1st the noise which is comming in when the top vent is open makes it useless. Second, the chin strap is too far back which creates discomfort touching or getting very close to the Adam's apple of the rider. I get it that AGV was nice enough to send a free test unit, but for long term channel success, critical review is valued.
The noise is an inbuilt feature. Read the design considerations by AGV. AGV wanted riders to "hear" the surroundings, the engines. Personally i like it
The chin strap is a hit and miss.
Is it good for round or oval heads? I am oval and get forehead pains from some helmets.
Like all helmets, I'd always recommend trying one first but I found this AGV really comfortable. I often find Shark pretty snug across my forehead. Cheers, Michael
Frank 939 I might try an agv. I am using icon variant at moment which is very comfortable on the old oval head but the peaks pants at higher speeds. Good for town work though. So far agv and icon for oval heads, someone should do some brand comparisons........ if only I could get a message to a youtuber.......
