Super excited for today’s video! I drove home to Arizona to redo my brother’s room while he was away for the weekend. When it came to the design and vibe, he wanted a more masculine style bedroom. My favorite part of this was how Drew kept asking them, “Isn’t this good??” - just a boy trying to please his lovely family. ☺️ you did a great job! And your family is adorable.
I love that you kept all of your brother’s favorite things on display even if they weren’t super cohesive and cute. I’ve watched a bunch of surprise makeovers where the person just hides all the personal items because they weren’t cute or fit the aesthetic.
I know right? He made his personal things the focus not random decor. He kept the soul of the room.

I love how attentive to detail all of this was for your brother. You really catered to his style and needs. I’m amazed. Obviously it was your brother but you explained the reasoning behind decisions which it such a strong listener skill. Some designers push their wow factor- in designing but they lose in the functionality that’s really needed by the person who uses that space. Great job!!

To be honest the orientation of the bed really bothered me a lot..however Drew made it work..and the room came together beautifully..🤩😍

It has daybed vibes. I’m sure his parents constrained the bed location as well as the needs for desk and projector setup

I have an issue with the placement of my bed too but it won't work out other ways so I did what he did, which is to make it look like a seating area instead of a bed and it worked
Mom is camera shy. Dog inserts himself in every shot. 🖤 🐾
We saw 2 dogs at the end. Now I am wondering if it was always the same we saw through the makeover.

LOVE your AMAZING small room solutions!!! That projector is my new must have for small rooms. BRILLIANT!!!! Also loved the round side table with catch all dish because traditional bedside tables are not an option for a bed in a bay window. It's been a long standing problem that you just solved for me! Hello Drew- I’ve been looking for small room makeovers and ran into your videos. You are not only talented but you convey excitement and joy in what you do! It rubs off!! Loved grandpa and your brother’s room makeover. If Josh’s room gets too hot, consider lining the curtains with thermal insulating lining. It’s fairy simple. The are already made linings out there, but I bought the fabric and made it myself as it is cheaper. The fabric doesn’t fray so not necessary to do any sewing if that’s your choice. Just cut it to size and attach it to the top on the back of the existing curtains using extra strength Velcro. Or sew (by hand or machine) a pocket to insert a rod and use the 2 rod system. No need to hem. I have very large windows in my bedroom- hot in the summer, cold in the winter.... Using the thermal/insulating lining has been a game changer! The extra plus is a super dark room!! All the best ❤️🌺

Beautiful and masculine without being too dark. The only thing I would maybe add are roller-shades from the window frame down, leaving the arch section open so the curtains don't have to be closed all the time to have privacy and to keep the heat out. Love it! Another awesome makeover!

Right normally if have a big furniture in a smaller room tends make it smaller but usually depends the placement of items.
That's what I need, a potable closet for extra clothes.
