- Changing the skidplate on the axial Capra means that youre able to fit the Hobbywing Fusion 2 in 1 - our FAVOURITE crawler set up! The skid plate we chose was the Vader Products high clearance skid, but the big question, does it make a difference??

It looks like someone forgot to put springs and oil in those internal spring shocks on the Capra. Having a load of flex is great but if the axles are flopping around like an epileptic octopus you don't have a lot of control :). On the bright side, J's driving has improved since the last crawler video. Good on him! And Dave continues to make his trucks do things they shouldn't be able to do. Great Video.
We didn’t forget, but we didn’t put anything in them😂
The plan was to fine tune them as we ran them, after removing everything we went for some light oil all round… can’t remember what weight but it was light. Need to alter it again I think, the fronts are a nightmare!

My skin crawled (pun) when the Capra went over the tree branches, the dam thing reminded me of a tarantula. Low and creepy 🤣 yack but nice content.
Love the way it sits, but the front shocks love playing us up, need to fiddle about with those and it’ll be a pure weapon😱

Process of fine tuning run by run, time consuming but it’s the way that works for us👍🏼

capra handling very well, eh? looks like you could do with softer foams given its so light. ive had good luck with memory foam mattress topper material, im also working on something a bit different, ill keep you guys posted

Did Daves servo have a fit ??? I love the Fusion...it just makes everything crawl well ☺ that Capra is just sik - silent killer 👌 i see that high clearence plate coming into effect a few good times...very nice ! Great vid lads

Great vid chaps, definetly want to get out for a crawl with you some time this year. Hopefully see you at the SST again this year and get involved for a run. Billy needs to lower the CG and fit some smaller shocks on the Capra if he is going to keep up though 😜
The COG is as low as it’s going to be, it’s the shocks that need tweaking…😒😂
He also needs a 3rd axle....🤣

Is the that fusion pro 2300kv? Did it fit straight in or were mods needed?
1800kv, we had to trim the belly plate slightly, just shaved some off but besides that it was a plug and play!👍

More than likely. Can't say without loading rhe video up but we often head over to breakheart

That Capra unloads way to much up front. Get a limiting strap on there and keep that front tucked down low. Great vid gents!
That it does. We've toyed with the idea of limiting straps, not sure what way were going with it yet but it's 100% a work in progress. Cheers my friend🔥

It’s all fun and games with those shocks until u climb sum vertical
I mean by the definition of vertical, any situation with shocks is irrelevant. Doesn’t matter if you have no shocks, you won’t climb a wall - on the other hand, you could always pop to Argos or somewhere alike and for a small cost of £10 get a car that will drive on the ceiling… and it has NO shocks!😱
I'll be honest, as a fellow Capra owner...
Anything other than the most extreme rocky areas (where 1:1 rock buggy crawling is done) is just too easy with the Capra, to where *imo* it is just boring...
But to each his own, just feels too easy to me
That's exactly why we ended up getting rid of the capra 😅👍
