I enjoy your video because I finally found someone who agrees with my views on Halloween Kills, unlike most people I enjoyed the direction they went in by adding Cory and making him the new killer and I thought the character development was good with Cory and Laurie as well

It's pretty much confirmed that all 3 films planned to take place in one night, but the pandemic threw a wrench in the gears and lead to them scrapping the plan in favor of a time-skip.

I'm sorry, H-Ends did nothing for me!😕 Perhaps the Corey character could have worked if Michael Myers was not disrespectfully reduced to a Wus AND if there wasn't this ridiculous Batman & Robin team-up with the two killers! I DO however love the idea of a cat-n-mouse, WHODUNIT murder mystery! But they totally dropped the ball and did not execute the story properly! Plus the writing was horrible! The legacy characters were under-used and under-developed! And the other characters were just useless throw-aways! Should I go on??!😄 I can, but I won't because u get my point! On the bright side, I thoroughly enjoyed this video! Great content!👍🏾💯💯💯💯
Thank you! I do think the Corey character would’ve benefitted greatly by being introduced in Halloween Kills. I respect everyone’s opinion, but I loved Halloween Ends lol.
First my advice: When doing these kind of videos, i would suggest research when analyzing the technical aspects. I find it better to go directly to the creators for decisions made, than speculate out of thin air. I would suggest specifically with this trilogy, to watch the whole story back to back, i think you may find its more cohesive than given credit for, which i notice is based off misinformation from some fans Corrections: Kills and Ends were written at the same time. Setting Kills on the same night, automatically made a timejump necessary unless the original plan was to have Laurie die in the beginning of Ends and have Ressurection all over again. Im baffled how anybody expected them to do otherwise after how 2018 ends I would never assume what "most of the audience" comes to see, especially when the audience has o bearing on criticism of how a story is told. Michael isnt on the sidelines (thats fan language lol), his home has been destroyed, he went off to die, this entire arc of his holds true to the 78 tagline. All he knew was his home and that was his aim in Kills just like 78. He isnt a character with a motive and actually he has more screentime in Ends than he does in the original 78 film. The story has always been about a specific character (Laurie, Rachel,Jamie, Tommy, Sarah) and Michael lurks in the background. Its no different with Corey, except the kind of character he is. Paul Brad Logan, one of the writers was bullied by band kids, thats why he chose them. The part about treating Michael like a virus (force of nature) rather than a man is baked into Carpenter's original mythos for Michael and its also introduced in 2018 and Kills. Sartain released IT "into the wild" and Laurie's monologue in Kills was explaining this to the audience before Ends drove it home. As Cameron says to Karen at the hospital, "he's infected our town for 40 years".. all the groundwork for Ends was laid ahead of time. Laurie already blamed herself in KILLS for how the situation with the mob played out. She was wrong after all and she sent Tommy to do what he did. Ends is again, just reiterating what Kills and 2018 established. When Corey's attacked by the band kids at the overpass, (1) Michael is below listening (2) Megan BAXTER is related to Dick Baxter from Halloween 78, the guy Annie suggested Laurie date before she said she would rather date Ben Tramer. Also, Terry, the lead band bully... he is Ben Tramer's grandson... Michael doesn't let Corey go because of what WE see, thats Corey's life flashing before his eyes, Michael doesnt see those images lol. People's fear dont make Michael physically stronger, his old ass just had an adrenaline rush while stabbing Dough. Laurie isnt saying that at all in KILLS (for starters its no way she could just know that out of thin air) She's talking about how she just had an epiphany in the hospital: He's NOT really the boogeyman, he just became that in her mind after what she just went through that night in 78. She then could see her errors and what was happening to the townspeople while she was trapped in the hospital, she along with Hawkins figured it out too late. I dont think Mathis and Deb was an intended team up job. Michael seems to me, was there to observe his student work and only stepped in when Corey fucked up and let Deb get away. Remember, Michael is dying and training a successor, this scene has multiple layers: Its where Corey learn she secret is stealth and fear. Its also what makes him feel inadequate as himself and needs to look "the part" like Michael in order for it to work, setting up the doublecross. Willie The Kid was introduced in KILLS, his station is playing on the radio in the car Tivoli crashes, when Tommy and the gang catch up to it.. He's played a big part since at least 2018 in keeping the Boogeyman shit stirring Allyson is in no way referencing anything but his wounded hand when she says its infected. She doesnt know anything he's doing, WE do. i hear alot of 4h wall myopia n this analysis of the trilogy In Butcher Baker Nightmare Maker, Thats really his mother not his aunt, Billy finds out before killing her. There is absolutely no possession going on in this trilogy, Laurie just learned to behave like Michael indirectly from her obsession after the ordeal, this is why she did things like show up to Allyson school on Halloween. Corey just learned directly from the source, none of this is supernatural. For starters, Loomis looked into his eyes so did Lindsay.... overthinking is an understatement lol Michael is not some juggernaut, thats a fan notion not supported by the story. Michael struggled with Annie, a 17 year old girl and he had element of suprise. He also struggled again with Lynda and Laurie in 78. The fact a 25 year old man could wrestle him and take his mask is hardly extraordinary (this after he already tossed that 25 year old man to the ground and had the upperhand several times) this "disrespectful to the character of Michael" notion is laughable, as i dont see how people say that and are serious. This is a franchise where a senior citizen has outsmarted and beaten Michael for most of the movies, along with countless teenage girls and its even more ridiculous in story: a character that disrespects, emasculates men left and right etc, needs to "treated with kid gloves" by the story's characters and writers?????? LMAOOOOO I made it 15 mins, i give up.
I respect the depth you took to explain your interpretation but the writers im sure didnt write the movie with these intentions which makes the film worse and more disappointing by comparison
