Great video! So I notice on other videos on TH-cam when attacking the wires to the J2C1 headers they have the black and yellow points switched. This would make a difference right? I just tried to RGH mine and it will not boot to xell.
To convert from RGH2 to RGH3, you don't need a NAND reader/writer. While still in RGH2, use the Simple 360 NAND Flasher to dump your NAND to a USB and write the CPU key to a text file on the USB. Then, use J-Runner to convert the dumped NAND to an RGH3 NAND image. Flash the RGH3 NAND image to the Xbox using the Simple 360 NAND Flasher (which requires the image to be on a USB). After this, the Xbox won't boot until the rewiring to RGH3 is complete. You don't need to use pico flasher in this method🙄
I'm wondering something. How come you converted to RGH3 instead of 1.2? On converting 2.0/S-RGH to 1.2 I think you would only move one wire and keep the glitch chip. You still need to scrape PLL BYPASS of course
@@justincase5704Sure, but every chip I can think of (except the X360RUN) can be reprogrammed for RGH 1.2, or even a faster S-RGH timing. S-RGH isn't that bad when tuned properly, but it takes time to find the right timing. Also, please don't tear apart the side panels like in the video. You can easily pop them off with a sharp pointy tool. You can even pop the shell off without poking the rear clips with a tool, you just need to press on the case with your fingers I would recommend watching Josh Davidson's videos covering Xbox 360 S teardowns.
Wow, it seems like after you flashed the NAND the Xbox just booted up immediately. Is that new to RGH 3? I have a Glitch 2 and my boot times sometimes suck. Is there anything that I can do to get the timings adjusted without upgrading to RGH 3?
Ya you can change the timings and there a bunch of pre-configured timing files for each model of xbox for the rgh2. I'm going to do a video on a phat xbox model that is better to chip that rgh3. And ya rgh3 has better boot times 90% of the time, and you don't have to configure timings for different xboxs

I gave my rgh to my lil brother back in 2018. After watching this I want to buy a new trinity to rgh it 😅 I miss it lol. Great video man!

Because this will work no matter the chip/rgh version you have installed on "your xbox" and boot times are great.

I think so, it depends on your chip too
