    I’m glad you made it okay. Such a modern car don’t you have air pressure monitors?

    • @timothysarin
      @timothysarin  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thanks, yeah it does, the tire pressure light came on the drive to work and I didn’t think the leak was that bad so after my shift on the way home I guess it lost way more air than expected, I had the tire air pump at home so I was legit on my way to do that but it blew up before I could even make it

    Just binge watching your videos lol, but I’m glad you’re safe. I wanna ask what’s the tool you used to get your lug nuts off? I have Ts5’s with a certain sized lug nut and I’ve got no plan if I ever get a flat with these custom wheels. I’ve been looking for something to buy so I can get them off

    • @timothysarin
      @timothysarin  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I’ve used a long either 3/8th or 1/2 socket to get to the lug nuts, it’s gonna be a long and thin bc if you use the short and stocky socket it’ll just hit the wheels and won’t fit in snug on the lug nuts, I think the size socket are either a 17 or 19 if I can recall

      @@timothysarinI see, might be a weird question but I also meant like what the tool in your hand was called, I’m gonna need to purchase that before anything. The metal ratchet thing that you used to disattach and attach your lugnuts

      I think this is the tool you’re referring too? I’ll post a link, let me know if it was this tool!

    That happened to me with a week old (280mlsl Yokohama Advan Fleva tire at 80 mph. Luckily for me the tire was on the rear of my 01 Integra. I felt the difference and was safely able to pull to the side of the freeway.

    • @timothysarin

      I’m glad you were able to pull over safely, things could go south FAST in this type of situation, I was only doing 65mph and was sketched I could only imagine 80mph lol

    • @timothysarin
      @timothysarin  ปีที่แล้ว

      Alot of factors went into the tire blowing out like that, the previous owner neglected getting the car aligned with the tires, also tracked these wheels without an alignment, The weather here dropped drastically and we had a snow storm which deflated the tires fast and there was probably a small puncture somewhere in the tires

      My tire pressure light came on during the drive to work and I was going to go home and pump more air into it, I’m guessing the leak/puncture was worse than what it was and the tire gave out on the highway

    @kristiang.5237 ปีที่แล้ว

    I doubt it was due to dry-rot. Tire likely went flat either from puncture or leaking valve stem and you didn’t notice in time and ran it flat. If you run a tire flat the sidewalls will quickly distort and soon thereafter, fall apart like this. Use your TPMS screen and if not available, know your car. The loud humming noise was your first clue that something was amiss. Additionally, your steering wheel would have been cocked to one side.

    • @timothysarin
      @timothysarin  ปีที่แล้ว

      I think there was a puncture somewhere on that specific tire, the humming noise was really pronounced on the highway on the ride home, funny enough the TPMS light came on, on the drive to work but I was going to go home and pump air into it after work..didn’t make it home in time and this happened, I think you’re spot on, with everything else that came into factor this was bound to have happened it seemed. The steering wasn’t cocked either until the tire blew

    damn bro! howd those continental go kaboom?

    • @timothysarin
      @timothysarin  ปีที่แล้ว

      The previous owner didn’t align his car and he tracked these tires, then when the tires weren’t in use he left them outside in the weather for it to dry rot having some cracks in the tires, plus the really cold weather dropped the tire pressure significantly and just one day, it gave up on me on the highway

    • @timothysarin
      @timothysarin  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      HOLY! I’m glad you’re getting them changed! It’s def due for one as you can see with happened with my situation

  • @fkhothatchi
    @fkhothatchi ปีที่แล้ว

    looks like the tires got extremely deflated from the cold so since you're running a lot of camber on the rear, if your tires is not inflated properly it will ride on the inner rim. that looks exactly like my tire when I ran over a nail and completely deflated on of my front tire with -4 camber. also looks like the previous owner already didnt have a good alignment when they had those tires on

    • @timothysarin
      @timothysarin  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I think you’re spot on, the previous owner didn’t align the car at all and tracked it like that, so in my eyes the treads look good, but the inner tires weren’t, yeah I was driving with them on also while it was snowing badly out so all those definitely played a big factor into the tire blowing out like that

    Those tires dont look like winter tire dude. Old tires or not you should be using the correct tire for winter conditions. Always check for tire pressure too during cold seasons.

    • @timothysarin
      @timothysarin  ปีที่แล้ว

      I previously ran these DWS06 tires on my Si and never had any issues in the snow and now the type r for the past 2 years and never had a problem in the snow with those, I do know winter tires are obviously the best choice for these conditions but I would usually take my girls car if the weather is worse, I think the previous owner let the tires dry rot and didn’t get an alignment causing wear in the inner tires and basically made these tires useless now
