Took a little break from the videos but had to tune into this build because the FK8 is absolutely my dream car. Whoever wins this car is truly lucky
I think the height sensors are for the headlight levelling system all newer cars have it so depending on the terrain the headlights will always be level so the driver can always see in-front of them 👍🏼

agree, i've always liked thinner rubber on exotics, seems to work with their sharper lines, but on most hot hatches ive always preferred a little meat on the wheels
maybe a little extra rubber, not that much, and the wheel is too small for the car...

@@misael1396 yeah meaty is meh...sick wheels and look is where its at. Frames and suspension have come such a long way that wheel performance is negligible

Always thought the level sensors were for the Headlights. So when weight is in the car they auto level to not blind oncoming traffic. I would imagine a car like this with LED Headlamps would auto level??

Honda is looking good. And I looks solid on the drive, less float and sway. Not that it had a lot before.
Hight sensors adjust headlight levels automatically, been used after introduction of xenon lights. Also adjusts air suspension and may be used with some dampeners. Main function in cars without air suspension is automatic headlight adjustment. You can easily test how the beam hight changes. Take a car without auto adjustment and drive close to a wall to see the beam. Then ask couple friends to join you in the car or load the trunk with some weight. The beam hight should change.

On those sensors instead of the black plastic zip ties they do make stainless steel ones I’ve used them on my ATV projects and they give it a more oem hardware appearance.
Looks much better with more sidewall. Good stuff 👍.

Height sensors are for auto leveling headlights as well
There are multiple reasons for the height sensors. Tire Pressure Monitoring System is also one of the reasons. Some models carry the physical sensor attached to the valves. Most models carry height sensing TPMS. If you have the option to "Recalibrate TPMS" under the vehicle settings then you have height sensing.

Sick car, I don’t love the coil overs in the beginning but after the suppressors were installed I realize this is the proper way to spend 3 grands on suspension

The height sensors can also be used for the traction control.
The whole under carriage so far is sweet this car can last anywhere nice to see that was coincided shows you guys are doing this for the fans an not just giving away a car those small details like that are everything

I do not understand why you would have to reuse the factory top hats. I get it if KW wants to keep the cost low but people are already spending a lot of money for the coil over. The least they could do if provide you with all the top hats. How could you be a high end coil over if you do not even provide everything?
You guys builds are the best, it made me want to take on my own build. It’s hard sometimes cause it’s also my daily and I have no one but myself to work on it but I try my best and hopefully one day it’s as good as one of ur builds, I even entered to try to win cause u guys builds are awesome. And I’m starting the journey of my build with my TH-cam channel too my first load up will be soon hope it’s blows up one day

@@rickbeckerman8291 I have a '22 VW GTI. Doesn't appear that there are anything other then universal items. Nothing like catch cans, racingline parts, intakes, exhausts (other than borla) etc. I already have suspension but the kits that pop up for the mk8 GTIs are labeled for other cars such as audis of other years like 2015s
wheels also don't show up if i select my car. i have to manually go in and select sizes.
Actually I heard alot of people say that when they remove the honde 20 inch wheels they get more understeer so maybe their a reasone hybrid their 20

Curious to know, did you guys install the Cusco front sway bar, maybe off camera? I know that install was/is a pain in the ass to do as you have to remove the front subframe to install it.

The tsw wheels are not cast they are rotary forged or flow formed, that's why they are light.
Also Work Meister S1 3p in white polished lip or bust. This is jdm car it needs jdm wheels.
They're cast and post-processed ("flow-formed") to extrude the barrel into the final shape. "Rotary Forged" is a trademarked TSW marketing term. Not a truly forged wheel, but there are a ton of advantages over basic cast wheels.

Did you all torque them bolts to spec when putting on the Cusco parts and if so do you have those torque specs? I bought all the braces and will be installing them and wanted to torque everything back down to spec.

back in the day we all wanted to go bigger on wheels, civic or not. Only reason youd see civics and tegs with 15s is because of money and body shape/size. Nowadays the civic frame is much bigger and im sorry but 20s look MUCH better than 18s for sure. and the noticeability on track is negligible.
