As odd it may sound, I never heard of a Mitsubishi Delica outside this channel. Was it uniquely popular in the Canadian West Coast ?

Mitsubishi Delicas have gained immense popularity among enthusiasts of wheeled travel. However, its availability is limited to specific regions and not accessible everywhere.

Delica L400 Space Gear was and still is one of the most popular and sought after 4wd vehicles in the world, and it is very expensive nowadays especially diesel models. Unfortunately they were only sold in Japan brand new, brought to other countries by private owners like "gray imports". As you can see they are all RHD.
However, L400 chassis was sold everywhere in the world in several variations LHD and RHD, like 2wd cargo van in Europe called Mitsubishi l400 (manual with column shifter 😁 and 2.5 d engine), passenger 2wd called Mitsubishi Space Gear with 2.4 petrol and facelift 2.0 petrol, in Switzerland for example they had cargo van with windows, now get this, it was a facelift swb with 2.4 petrol engine manual transmission floor gearshift WITH 4wd but with only 3 positions on the 4wd lever also called Mitsubishi L400.
Many many variations and names around the world, however, what you are seeing in these videos is Japan only and it's full name is Mitsubishi Delica L400 Space Gear and it comes with real 4wd from Pajero with 4 positions on the 4wd lever, mostly with 3.0 v6 petrol/gas and some are 2.8 turbo diesel.
Diesel engines are more common on pre - facelift models like on these videos, while on facelift ('98 - '06) they are super rare, actually I think they only came in small numbers in '98 '99 and '00.
There is a Holy Grail model too, facelift in LWB with diesel engine with 140 HP in Super Exceed trim only, that car costs around 30k now if you can find one.
      Not confusing much anyway.

The switch (MB953289) on my 1995 Delica (vin PD8Wxxxx) and is not available anymore. Only the turn signal side of the assembly is not working. Do you have any tip to fix it? If all fails, I’ll install a manual signal switch.

I appreciate yet another excellent Delica video. It's fascinating to learn how to independently repair things and keep the vehicle in optimal condition.

Great to see it's coming bad to life. So many fixes it needs. People just don't take care of their vehicles😮

It's wonderful to witness its revival, despite the multitude of repairs it requires. It's disheartening how people neglect their vehicles and fail to prioritize proper maintenance.

Thank you for the informative video sir.
Please make a video about delica super select 4WD. Been trying to set the stick to 2H but the 4WD panel indicates front wheels flashing/blinking green. i tried engaging the stick to 4H and it did. can you show how far/inclined is the stick when set to 2H?
does it affect the car's fuel consumption when driving with that condition?
    thanks in advance.

Sounds like some electrical / wiring issue with SuperSelect indicator. Btw, mine stopped working a while ago as well, indicator doesn't show any position.
I will film the repair as well)
      Cheers!

How does one disconnect the ECS (sport) blinking light? The reason I ask is because the OEM ESC shocks are like $450 a piece so most of us are replacing them with a non-ESC shock for either cost efficiency or better performing shocks than the OEM ones. So how do do we get that “sport” light to stop blinking when replacing the shocks with non-ESC shocks? Is it a connection at the ECM module that needs to be severed? Any comments or thoughts would be greatly welcomed 😊

      @PistonShack  ปีที่แล้ว

Hey David. Well, you are right OEM ESC shocks are expensive. Mine came with regular Monroe shocks. ECS connectors just were hanging down. As temporary farm fix I just pulled bulb out from the instrument cluster to turn blinking light off. 5 mins temporary solution.

Hey buddy! I didn't plan for that) If you have modular time column switch, just remove old one light/turn signal switch off. I have video coming up this week showing all details about different Delica column switches.
Btw, how was you last camp at Booloumna Creek?
