Yo man! I’ve been a fan of yours for a while now and just want to say keep up the good work! Try not to be too disheartened bro; this is a journey and sometimes there’s bumps in the road but I’m sure you’ll get there soon. It’ll be interesting to see how the cut affects your powerlifting stuff and see if you can maintain your strength levels. Good luck mate
Also…BRING BACK THE PRE-WORKOUT REVIEWS LOL! I loved those

Hey man, I've been watching your videos on and off for about a year now and I've seen you start and fail these large weight cuts multiple times now. A little over two years ago now I started my own weight loss journey where I went from around 235 at my heaviest to 172 at my lowest. I made some mistakes along the way, but through that experience as well as helping others in my family lose weight (my brother lost nearly 100 pounds), I feel as though I've got some input you may find helpful. I'd like to preface all this by saying that I apologize if any of this comes off as condescending or mean, I'm just speaking from a realistic perspective on what has worked for me and others.
I saw it in the last "weight loss journey" video you posted 8 months ago and I'm seeing it again here. I think that you're killing yourself through analysis paralysis. You seem to be thinking a lot about what went wrong and balancing that by talking about what went right about gaining more weight. I'm sorry man, but 315+ bench or not, it's not healthy nor athletic to be over 30% bodyfat. Something you've got to understand is that it's going to fucking suck. There's no world where starting a cut - much less a long-term weight loss goal - is fun. You're going to be hungry. You're going to be pissed off. Your lifts are going to suffer as a result of low energy and losing mass. These are facts. Developing some kind of yo-yo diet to limit the adverse affects is not going to change them. You just have to accept that it's going to be hard at first. Think about when you first stepped in a gym and picked up a dumbbell. Was that bicep curl easy? No, it fucking hurt, but look at you now. Dieting is the same, it starts hard and you get used to it. That being said, it always requires constant discipline JUST like going to the gym. An outsider looking into your life may ask, "How do you have the discipline to go to the gym everyday?" But for you and me the answer is easy. We don't think about it, we just do it. Dieting can and will become the same way for you. When you're at that drive thru and you see a 1200 calorie lunch option and a 500 calorie lunch option, it may be hard to opt for the latter now. If you stick with it, in time it will become a no brainer. And DO NOT be discouraged if you don't think you "look as good" at 250 as you did at 270. Who gives a shit, that's just your brain coping to give your body what it's become accustomed to wanting: more food. You may not like the way you look when you cut down. I know I've got some loose skin. But you can bet your ass I'm way healthier now than I was when I was 26% bodyfat.
The best advice I can give you is to start NOW. Today. Seriously. Plug your body stats into a calculator, get a TDEE that's got you losing 1 or 2 pounds a week and just go. But DO NOT fudge the numbers. You're not an Olympic athlete. You don't burn 3000 calories a day running. If anything, enter an estimate that's more conservative than you believe is true.
Sweat the small stuff later, make adjustments if you need to after doing it for a month. But start to understand how to make those choices throughout the day that keep you at that deficit now and STICK WITH IT. Anyway, this got pretty long winded so sorry for that. Not that it should mean much coming from a random stranger on the internet, but you got this man. I believe in you.
