i am naturally a finder......finders are extremely humble,no ego,no spotlight, love people and can easily talk about the product if they believe in it 100%.i am grateful to know that i have skills for any business i pursue. great info.
Honestly as an entrepreneur I have been avoiding learning about sales most likely out of fear because I have never had a job in sales before (and probably because of trust issues towards real estate agents). I have been avoiding it for years but here I am years after these videos were released finally realising how important sales skills are. My communication skills definitely need improving as well.
Sales is all about communicating, Alan..start from the ground floor and work up, at the end of the day you're just having conversations with people and helping them come to the conclusion they want to buy on their own terms :)
I grew up without a father. So, like every boy in that situation, I have searched for father figures. I had an older cousin, teach me guitar. Then when I inevitably became, a troubled teen, and would get high... while the other kids I grew up with would go out and vandalize and shoplift, I bought my bag of weed, and went and played guitar... I'm the only one of the gang, that never did time. I get a similar sense of guidance, from tour videos. Thank you, from me, and from all the guys like me, who have also found this in you.
I've watched a few of your videos so far, and I have to say this one hit home the most. It encompasses so much with just three main words. I have limited sales experience, in fact I've only officially been at a sales job for about 4 months and closing wasn't me accompanied by a poor product to sell. However, one thing you reinforced, is my innate knowledge of is being a finder. It's something that has gotten me through interviews, moving from job to job, and creating trust in me within my respective workplaces. I unknowingly took this for granted, and with that I have set myself back. Thank you for this presentation, it really hit home.
If you’ve ever had a sales job you quickly realize it’s a game of numbers therefore if you’re pipeline is full it’s gives you more “at bats” or more opportunities to close and develop. Can’t sell to no one. Thanks Pat for the great content.
You know from watching all you videos, I have fully understood everything. Now I run a huge business and finally own my dream car. Thank you so much David!
I totally agree with the idea of a finder being the most valuable person. Being the owner of a small organization, where I have to focus on all 3 of these aspects of sales, without a finder it doesn't matter how good you are at closing, you won't have the business coming in to do so. Also, like you mentioned I believe there are 3 different personality types that accel in these 3 fields. Managing your personality to be well rounded on that level can be very difficult. Thanks for the video Pat!
@@TheCoster11 There's b2b and b2c which stands for business to business and business to consumer. B2b is when a business sells a product or service to another business and b2c is when you sell things to everyday people, which is a lot easier in my opinion.

I didnt think I had to much to do with sales with the business I'm going into but with watching tons of theses videos, I'm starting to realize that I do need to learn how to sale my service. I'm just now seeing the pertinent informational video for a goal 1,000,000 subs which has now quadrupled. What a beautiful thing. I love to see people work hard and succeed.
This video excites me because after hearing you explain the three sales roles (Finder, Closer, Developer), immediately, I realized I was a fantastic finder. Even before I knew I was in sales (in one form or another), whether as part of a TH-cam MCN, a project recruiter, even as a content creator on Vidme and TH-cam, I knew how to bring people over. Whatever I lacked in the other two areas, I can always pair up with people who are specifically geared and great in those areas. That leaves me to focus on finding, finding, finding. Yeah, I'm a finder. And I'm still looking for opportunities that need a great finder.
I have two questions that I hope you can answer because I love your vids and want to use the same format for mine. 1. Type of camera and lens? 2. The height and width of the chalkboard? HUGE fan. Keep up the great work!
Thank you PBD! I am a finder, and enjoy developing but weak at closing. I am improving my game the more I do it though. I appreciate your styles of teaching: direct, succinct and enriching! Bravo😀

I'm a finder hands down. Companies trying to make everyone closers and ignore the introduction and middle to solely focus on the end is why their earnings are shrinking. What worries me the most is these companies don't ask questions and find solutions. They prefer to use the same failed process that produce the same results.
