Hey Red, this is an a amazing collab, like you and I'm sure many, it moved me. My interpretation is the Purgatory pub is a waiting station for people that are on the verge of death, some make it some don't. The people keep looking at the clock, in an 'is it my time?' moment. It's the Ren bit where his almost death and (I think) Chris in the car doesn't make it. 2 friends in a car accident. Beautifully dark, what an amazing song and oh, that videography!

Yes, but I'm not sure about the "verge of death", they seem pretty much definitely dead (the waiter with part of his brain missing, the guy with a slit throat, the black dude with a gunshot wound in the heart, the girl with her forehead bashed in...). Ren is also dead, but clinically dead and the paramedics managed to resuscitate him. Purgatory is, according to Christian religion, the place when your soul gets purged from your sins (or baggage) before you can move on to Heaven.
It's funny but I didn't take it as those hanging waiting to die or return. I took it as the conventional purgatory waystation. Seeing 2011 looked new so I thought he'd been there a while. The prostitute, I heard people call it a burner but to me it just looks OLD like she's been there for a minute too. The fact that they were talking to each other made me wonder if they knew each other as well.

Apparently, Chris says they really clicked artisticlly, musically and morally. Webby certainly wsnts to do more . Ren will be in Brighton till the album is done. Ren is simply on another level! Has there ever been an artist that has this kind of impact as soon as he opens his mouth, every time, no matter who he is with. And he is with some bad ass artists obviously. Like TH-camr Cliff Beats says(and he has reacted to any rapper you can dream of and has 350K subscribers,) that he has only seen one artist in his life that, in a collaboration with 2 singers or rappers , have an impact on a song like REN has on every single one, and that is Eminem. And I agree also when he says that REN is setting himself apart from almost anyone ever in a collaboration.
That is f ing crazy that more reactors than not say nobody touches REN. I cant hear it enough.

Have ever heard/reacted to Rens song "Patience" I dont see it anywhere on your Ren reactions. It's such a beautiful song. The video is from a while ago and comes from a documentary called Unrest which was about the disease M.E which at the time Ren was diagnosed with. This was before his correct diagnosis of Lyme.

I know I'm in the minority here, but I'm so disappointed in seeing someone like Ren who I respect so damn much choosing to collaborate with an unabashed anti-vaxx and anti-trans conspiracy theorist (see Raw Thoughts VI as just one example) who whines about how everyone's so sensitive these days that white people like him can't be complete a*holes anymore without getting cancelled. Makes me really start to question if maybe I've totally misread Ren?? 🤔
