Can these processes work for other TCGs? It seems like more and TCGs are popping up but have a crazy high barrier to entry, One piece, Digimon and seemingly any Bandai tcg. I live in rural Illinois and spending hundreds on cardboard is next to impossible for a lot of people around me. I’m really thinking of getting a similar set up to yours in order to help flourish the local tcg scene in my area. I want to help get people into Magic and not just into commander but help people explore other formats such as modern, standard, and as mentioned earlier, other tcgs.
Something like this process isn't great for mixing with real cards, the proxies will fell different (lighter, thinner). You're better off printing on a regular sheet of paper and slipping it in front of a real card.
This is the new version of the one I have tinyurl.com/2y7b9hwe Mine is the older version but it was only $200 when i bought it from walmart 10 years ago. still works great! if you can find an HP Laserjet Pro 200 its worth it.
Thanks for this usefull tutorial! I have just one question, what would you recommend to make the holo stamp effect? It's the only thing i keep missing, so i would really appreciate if you could talk about that process
its because I just made this account yesterday. I will need to verify my identity with photo ID before it will allow me to have links in the description. I will try to do that today.
Good guide. If you plan on doing more videos, I'd iron out some of your technical problems: 1) Your audio is desynced (most notable at the beginning of the video where you can see your lips don't match your voice). 2) Voice Audio is a bit low. It hovered around -25 to -15 decibels on average. You want it just at or under -10.
Hey appreciate the audio tip. I am a bit out of practice, but for someone who has been in the video editing game for more than 20 years I should have payed more attention. I do plan on making more so I will work on improving the downfalls. I had to use my cell phone as camera and its wireless so that will explain the small delay. Cheers!
Really cool to see how some actual decent proxies can be made at home, thanks for making this!
Thank you for the video :-)

Nice nice, i'm gonna make some commander towers since i'm tired of buying 1 for each deck

@@chim007azo i was afraid of that. Gonna try stickying the vinyl paper on top of lands to see how they feel.
Thanks for the tutorial! Easy to follow and understand.
Which printer do you use? Currently in the market for an affordable one!

I am watching from the mobile app and I can't click the links in the description. Could someone post them in a comment?
@@Argnar it’s ok it’s because this is a new channel and TH-cam won’t allow hyperlinks in description. I’ll update it eventually.

I don't plan on doing anything complicated. but There are probably some tutorials out there to do foils and holographic stuff.
I'm in Europe (italy), somebody knows the alternative for the 110lb white paper that can ship here?
about 270 GSM is what you'd be looking for. but anything between 200 and 270 is fine. then you can order the vinyl sticker paper off amazon as well.
@ thanks!
good vid, only thing i need now is a printer 😭
lol, you can print at any print shop or staples for very cheap
Thanks for the video man, not sure if it's just a me issue but the links in the description aren't working.

I have a hp 7300 smart tank. Does the sticker paper not work with inkjet?
You can try with an inkjet. I just find lazer printers to have more consistant full color prints. and laser printers are dirt cheap these days!

I missed the part where they asked for nitpicks on their production quality.
Your links in the description don’t work
Thanks Ill fix that for you.
This is only good for casual kitchen table.
Can't run proxies in sanctioned events or tournaments I play in.
? Good for you? This video isn't meant for you then.. Would be just fine for friendlies at card shops and testing as he said. SMH
