it was marine grease/oil for bearings. I was thinking that it will prevent water coming into the engine compartment through a gap between shaft and housing. not sure how it works ... but there is no water during riding ... as well there some grease came out in engine compartment after riding. Maybe it was water push ... maybe something else. anyway i did not find any speed reduction or gas consumption increase. When i disassembled my old shaft there was some grease too.
Bro, we are neighbors I'm right down in Vero Beach. I made a jet jon with a Yama 701 and have a cracked reduction nozzle. About to attempt to fix it. P/s lots of heavy breathing in the video, save some for us bro lol J/k
Cool bro! I have noticed that if repair something old like 1993 jetski then there is high probability to break something else (because of corrosion). I should ear less fat food and drink less beer to restore my breathing :)
@@RandomJ2023 oh ... you are in FL ... i have moved out of FL in 2019. Now i am in CA, Long beach. Breathing here is much easier :D vs FL. Keep in touch!
Nice work.....with the repair guide and this video...i'll have no excuse when mine is due. How was it acting before the replacement?
