I love the small system video idea, and I especially love seeing more about how you all are utilizing the depth of Rene II as I feel like I have still only scratched the surface on mine.
Very nice! After a 20 hiatus from synths, I was reincarnated in Eurorack. Where I used to fawn over huge relics, the heart of it is now vastly more interactable thanks to good folks such as yourselves putting in the work. As I perused all of the entry points available, I found myself attracted to Rene. It is deep, but not too deep. Fixed and quantized - or not. Performable and also engaging to my outsiders view. It looks like a piece of alien tech that I wanted to interact with. Thanks for sharing your interactions with these modules, it's interesting that even as a designer, you can still find new ground to cover. I look forward to that myself!
This video is interesting in many layers - first of all it's a great tutorial for Rene. Second layer is about benefits using double 0-coast. Third, deepest is about musicality and sound. I'm using Rene for almost half a year but still I can discover many things in it and it doesn't stop to amaze me. I have only one 0-coast but I will try to recreate this patch using DPO.
Yes, more small system patches! I'd like to see other manufacturers *cough* Moog Mavis *cough* included, but I can see that this might be a problem for a manufacturer specific advertisement channel... ;) PS: After finding the René channel I removed that second paragraph above... You guys went really deep there. That should help any potential René buyer. Thanks!
9 months late but still patching happiness! I’ll try this with Subharmonicon and O-Coast since I don’t have 2 🤟🤟

True, Rene is one of those deep modules.
A famous man once said, “Why stop here…?”
Why not? Because I’ve only got one 0-Coast dammit, and until five minutes ago I was happy that way…

Rene with one 0-Coast and one Strega sounds intriguing to me . . .
Yes more please! Try using the XPO with a Ø-COAST + Ø-CTRL.💡🤖👏🏽❗

Magical
Try the same with two Strega
Sounds like a good time 🎶⚡️
I was about to suggest the same
Full of Oofy! goodness.
I really need to get a René to pair with my 0-C now.
⚡️🎶⚡️
What kind of delay and reverb are you using for the output signal?
Stock Ableton delays. They sound pretty good!
Great! Let's go with 0-Control modulating Morphagene and Erbe Verb 💥
Fun times 🎶
didnt realize how buchla-esque these things can sound...thanx for the vid
Thanks for watching!!

Kinda frustrating seeing all these people using Rene' when it's impossible to find one.
Saw one on eBay a coupla weeks back and leapt right on it…
According to MN a batch is due to ship in January, so get a pre-order in somewhere.
I bought a René Classic on Reverb last week. It might not have all the features of the V2 but it’s still an incredible sequencer…
@@walrtbstudios5430 I've seen a few pop up. But I'm not paying 30 or 50% over retail for a used module.
@@mntbighker I paid less than retail. Just lucky I guess…
One is currently residing on Reverb for £515, with a hefty £50 postage from t’ States to t’ UK…
