Instructions: 1) Disable "Secure Boot" in your BIOS if you have a UEFI BIOS on your PC. 2) Turn off driver signing inside Windows 10. Open a command prompt as Administrator and type in the following command: "bcdedit.exe /set nointegritychecks on" and press "Enter" Once you’ve completed updating your firmware you can turn on driver signing back on if desired by typing the following command: "bcdedit.exe /set nointegritychecks off" 3) Make sure to run the installer and afterwards the program by right clicking and choosing "Run as Administrator". 4) Only connect the unit by USB to the computer AFTER running the installer and opening the program. Always remove the batteries and press the test button to discharge your flash before connecting it to your PC. Success!
Do not leave the batteries inside the flash unit as it will brick the flash, I was able to reload the firmware with this procedure but it took several tries after I mistakenly left the batteries inside the flash. thank for the video
Hi, Thanks a lot. I had a different issue in my flash. The display contrast was too much and was struggling for a year to sort out. From your video, by pressing function key I got into the service mode and scrolled down to LCD brightness and set it to '0' and problem solved. Please note, its 'micro USB' data cable to interface the flash with PC. The batteries should be removed from the flash prior connecting to PC, else the display goes erratic. Thanks!🙏

" how to get round windows 10 failed connect" So in 2022 this doesn't work great on windows 10 with connection failed msg. Spent a day trying to fix it and changing USB cords with no luck. I had an old laptop running windows 8 and tried the update on it and it worked straight away. Hope this helps someone.
@@ahmedahmolla may or may not have an issue win 10 hasn't been the greatest.... connect issue seems to be a common problem according to comments and threads. even adorama state needing to turn off signing and altering command prompts. so for those less technical or not confident this is an easier work around. cheers

How did you get to see the version 2.6 YOU HAD INSTALLED on your lcd screen? I cannot see that and you did not show how you got to that screen.
you have to chick you version first before updating, long press on the "Zm/C.Fn" the version will appear on the top right
