In my case it wasn't the cable, firewall or anything computer related preventing the update(s). It was the actual Godox install package. It was corrupt on their site. Instead I used the Adorama Flashpoint series updater and it worked perfectly for my V860iin and Xpro transmitter. In case you aren't aware: Adorama brand flashes are just Godox rebranded and all of their accessories and updates are compatible with each other.
Thanks so much for this video! You saved my life! My Godox V1 failed while I was updating new firmware. After that, the flash was bricked, I couldn't turn it off. I followed your guide for "Reset Flash", and I could finish the update! And it's working now! Thanks!
Hello My flash won't turn on after the update do you know how I can fix this
A big thanks. Finally able to connect using a USB Type A to USB-C cable via dongle adapter to my 14" M1 Max MBP.
I tried to update AD400 but I can't seem to connect it to a laptop, nor mac nor Windows, even with an expensive tether tool cable.. Will try to "reset" flash. But so far, Godox seems trash with support. They don't even mention you have to remove batteries before update, not to mention the typos in a 5 button app.. Just horrible.

I have two V1N Round headed flashes. Plugged one in, updated. Great. Plugged the second in, burning smell. Dead. Flash now in the bin. Great!!!! :(

Hi ! I bought the version 2 of the tt685 c . Do you know if is a firmware update for it? . I use it on a canon R6 and some times error70 appears on my camera. Think that the problem could be the flash . The actual version of firmware on my tt685ii c is the V1.1 .
Hi there! I don't think there's a newer firmware for the TT685II yet. I have heard that Godox flashes are not playing well with Canon R5 and R6, but Godox has not offered a solution, AFAIK :-(

@@hannahh3642 Yes, its works only with Windows 7....... not with the higher versions. But Godox G2 software works perfectly with Windows 10 or 11

L'erreur E9 signifie généralement que vous avez installé le formware pour un autre appareil. Utilisez-vous V350 ou TT350 ?
I just broke my AD200Pro after firmware upgrade. All the process went well, after "operation successful" the flash won't turn ON 🙁
Yes, I removed the batterie and turn on for discharge, then I connected to computer.

I'm sorry about your experience. Looking for information about your case I found out that, apparently there are two versions of the Ad200Pro flash, the regular and the A version, each one with a different firmware to update. Look for the FCC label on the bottom of the unit, if you see a text that says "Version A" next to the triangle with exclamation mark, you have the A version.

Hi Alex, what's the workaround for Mac users? As far as I can tell Godox doesn't support Mac users... I have a Bootcamp Mac that runs Windows for this purpose but apparently USB doesn't work when I'm running Windows on it... Thank you and I appreciate your time!
What I have read is that you can use a virtual machine with Windows 7, 8 or 10, and then enable a USB port on the virtual machine. In order to run a virtual machine you can use Virtual Box or Parallels.

Thank you! I had to use a USB A to USB C for my X2T. A much more expensive USB C to USB C cable would not work
For me it was the tipp with removing the batteries, then it worked right away.
I noticed you stopped responding in comments so Im taking a long shot here. My process to update V1 has been frustrating. Im trying everything and nothing is working. Updating firmware shouldn't be this hard. I used USB C and USBC to USB A cable, I used thunderbolt usb C cable. Did all the other steps you mentioned and nothing is working. How?
