    Thanks this was useful! A few tips for others: 1) the brake guard can be undone so you can rotate it around the wheel bearing assembly and then be able to hit the wheel bearing from multiple sides instead of just one as shown in the video. 2) with a 10mm socket you can take out the ABS sensor from the top so you don't have to worry about damaging it. 3) I didn't need a flexible wratchet ... a solid one did the job.

      What makes a wheel bearing go bad?

    • @G3RRYxC

      @@swaggerjacker1482I think just wear over time/use. (Probably wears faster in wet climates?)

    Any torque specs? Or is good and tight good enough? Is this same or similar for 13 Acura RDX? Thank you!

    Got the same problem on my 2014 rear driver bearing.... I caught it before it got this bad though. Thanks for the video.

    Parking brake cable won’t let you pull the caliper. You left that part out.

    Will the wheel bearing not make noise when going in reverse? My accord makes the noise when going forward only. Happened after I replaced stuck rear caliper.

    I'm not doubting the HUB was bad, but loosening the tire then shaking it was kind of redundant

    "Nice and tight" being 80 ft-lbs for the hub bolts and lug nuts.

    Tapping the bearing assembly out evenly will make it come out easier than beating it out on one side as you did. Otherwise, good video.

      @techieguy336 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      There's only a small section which can be accessed with a hammer. How would you tap it evenly?

      I followed this video and the only thing I did different was remove the “brake shield” so I can bang from more sides. It was the little 10mm screws.

      Buy quality parts and do the job one time. Skf, Timken, ACDelco, even Moog is better than the cheap ones or no name. I always check the warranty time to see. Timken will usually be lifetime, but they are also the most expensive.

      I use a punch with a hammer
      If yours is really badly seized you may need to use a torch to heat it up and then try to hit it

    Nice video Manny! Thanks for sharing. Wifey is hearing a humming noise from the rear passenger side of our 2015 Accord. It only hums at 50 mph. Had the new tires checked and all was good. No holes in the muffler s my guess it’s the wheel bearings.

    For the 2016 model sport do I have to worry about a abs sensor for the same drivers rear wheel ??

    • @inibrasiumthefirst2680
      @inibrasiumthefirst2680 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      probably. abs sensors arnt bad just carefully remove them. also some times they get stuck and they break so its always better to be prepared to replace it
