Next time try some of the traditional tie dye patterns, like twisting from the center and rubber band shirt. It gets the die all over and looks great with flannel plaid.
Damn girl your arms and shoulders are on point!!! Now to the bleach thank you, for all the info been wanted to do this. Now I feel more confident about trying.
I enjoyed your video! I bleached a flannel shirt but when I washed my shirt it tore when I washed it! Could you please tell me what I did wrong ! Thank you
I know this is from a yr ago, but maybe you'll see it. Where do you get your flannels from? Also, I would sell for $15 too, $50 is ridiculous. As I was typing you answered my question in the video, thrift shop is a good idea
Thank you for this video! I love the shirts! The lady who wouldn't even clean her house in a shirt that has bleach on it has probably changed her mind by now, with all of the bleached shirt mania that is going on these days 🤣🤣🤣
As far as I know, only cotton will bleach, so make sure that your flannels have a good amount of cotton in them, they can be a blend, but must have cotton in them or they won't bleach. I make the bleached t-shirts with sublimation. Here is the thing with sublimated shirts, they have to be at least 65% polyester and 35% cotton. You cannot sublimate on a cotton shirt, so you bleach the spot that you want the image on. Polyester won't bleach but the polyester fibers grab the sublimation. Hope this makes sense. Have a great day!
Goodness! The only problem I had was some with wool in them wouldn't bleach. I researched for my blog post and I couldn't find a straight answer on fabric ratio. Did you use diluted bleach? 50/50
You need to neutralise the shirt after it has been bleached which this video doesn't do, just rinsing and washing out will not do this and the bleach rots the shirt. 1/9 solution of hydrogen peroxide and water will do this, rinse, wring out the soak in peroxide solution then wash.
High polyester content won't bleach either. 60% cotton 40% poly is the highest polyester content I would use but I try too avoid anything with polyester in it. They just don't come out as well
You might not have left the bleach on long enough in the sun. If you have bleached any Heathered tshirts, you will have the same issue. Sometimes, depending on what I am doing with the shirt, one that hasn't bleached all the way white is kind of fun
That lady didn’t know what she was talking about because she probably does not know what’s trending. I sell my bleached flannel shirts for 125. 00 I also put patches on them and cut the elbows out and sew leather into them
Chlorine bleach fumes are very damaging when inhaled. So glad to see you working outdoors.
Yes!!!
Next time try some of the traditional tie dye patterns, like twisting from the center and rubber band shirt. It gets the die all over and looks great with flannel plaid.
This is really cool. I've never seen this done before. So glad I happened upon your video.
Have fun making some!!
Came for an art show, was not expecting a gun show.

😂😂 happy Saturday
I love the green and brown one. ❤
Thanks!!
Damn girl your arms and shoulders are on point!!! Now to the bleach thank you, for all the info been wanted to do this. Now I feel more confident about trying.
Thank you! You can do it!!! Ventilation is my biggest tip!!
Trying to watch your tutorial, but your arms got me awestruck! lol! Great video...and arms!

I’ve been wanting to try this myself and I think your video will be very helpful. I liked seeing the process as you went. Thanks for sharing
Awesome! Fun to make just be in a well ventilated area!

Love the shirts! Thanks for sharing!
Thank you Mary
Do you wash them when you buy them also just to make shore they are clean?
I didn't. Most I got thrifting
I enjoyed your video! I bleached a flannel shirt but when I washed my shirt it tore when I washed it! Could you please tell me what I did wrong ! Thank you
Bleach can weaken the fabric so make sure your bleach is diluted and you don't let it set very long on the shirt
I know this is from a yr ago, but maybe you'll see it. Where do you get your flannels from? Also, I would sell for $15 too, $50 is ridiculous. As I was typing you answered my question in the video, thrift shop is a good idea
Yep! Thrifting 💕
Thank you for the tutorial. I find it very helpful.
Great! Have fun making them!
Hi loved the video tryed this today did you let the shirts sit awhile or did you wash right away??
I washed right away.
Thank you for this video! I love the shirts! The lady who wouldn't even clean her house in a shirt that has bleach on it has probably changed her mind by now, with all of the bleached shirt mania that is going on these days 🤣🤣🤣
😂😂😂
Do you pre-wash the shirt ?
I did not.
Is it better to let these sun dry before washing them or does it matter? TIA
I always washed them after rinsing and didn’t have any problems 🤷♀️
How long do u leave it sit in the bleach?
Just like I show in the video. It doesn't take much!
Do you still sell them? Can I have link to your shop?
I don’t have any right now. My shop is thejunkparlor.com
What is the polyester cotton mix on these flannels?
Sorry this video is a few years old so I don't know.
Love them all im thinking my Bleach Is bad because not one shirt has bleched
Really! Wool, nylon, acrylic won't bleach...maybe check the labels?

I saw Teeter’s shirt on Yellowstone and told my husband, “I’m gonna make me one of those!”
Do it!
Enjoyed the instruction, I am getting ready to do one for my Granddaughter. How do we find the finished photos?
no sorry, they were on Facebook back when I made this video
Does your flannels need to be a certain cotton/poly count? I washed mine and it shredded.
Goodness! The only problem I had was some with wool in them wouldn't bleach. I researched for my blog post and I couldn't find a straight answer on fabric ratio. Did you use diluted bleach? 50/50

Are they 100% cotton?
Some are a blend
Nice guns 💪🏻
How do you put words on a shirt to bleach
I have not done that before
Thank you
Love this...from n y 😊
@@debfarr5568 thank you for watching!!
Love these!
Thank you!
So cute...
Thank you! Really easy just best to do it outside!!
WOW ! 😊
Are these still trending? I was thinking of making some shirts
Yes! I know people who sell tons!
Is there a certain % of cotton to use
I am not sure what % it needs to be. I only had a wool shirt not work. everything else turned out great!
How long do u leave them soaking
The video was LIVE, SO just like you see...not very long. Did you dilute the bleach? I can't think of any other reason it wouldn't bleach
High polyester content won't bleach either. 60% cotton 40% poly is the highest polyester content I would use but I try too avoid anything with polyester in it. They just don't come out as well
Thank you! Lots of people have wanted specific ratios!
It’s always good to do a hydrogen peroxide water bath after the bleaching
Why are my bleached flannel shirts all turning orange?
Hmmm...I'm not sure. Are you diluting the bleach? Leaving it dipped long enough?
You might not have left the bleach on long enough in the sun. If you have bleached any Heathered tshirts, you will have the same issue. Sometimes, depending on what I am doing with the shirt, one that hasn't bleached all the way white is kind of fun
Bleach won't take out all the dye and they do go orange, it is just what happens, especially if there is black dye on the shirt.
