I had about 20-30 sectional charts questions on my test last week. They seemed difficult for due to lack of experience reading them and question wording. Definitely study. Fortunately, I still passed with nearly an A. It's doable. Always try to look through the legend for tips if you just don't know.
@@altitudeuniversity im not understanding anything about these maps and this part has me completely confused is there a way to ease into this? your using terms im not familiar with and its throwing me off

Thank you! Passed 107 Today! This video helped clearly explain how to deal with the sectional chart questions. I kept watching until I understood it. It helps to explain it to yourself or someone else. Cheers!
Hey thanks for doing this video for us. After studying a couple of hours every day last week and now this week, I'm starting to feel a little bit more confident about taking the test. FYI -- Shortcut -- In the Airman Knowledge book which I downloaded, if you click on the upper left menu bars, and then click on Contents, then scroll down to find whichever Figure # you are looking for, and then click on, for example, Figure 12, when you click on there, then that page opens up automatically.
Thanks for the video... isn't#1 the surface? Perhaps I'm mistaken but that number in the bracket is the ceiling. The floor is the surface. Is that correct? Thanks again for the video.
While you were locating Shoshone Co (S83) AP, would be a good time to ask what airspace is the AP located in? Note: The AP is not surrounded by a segmented circle.
Hold on im a bit confused on the latitudes and longitudes. So on one example, 47 degrees latitude which is the line that goes left/right, correct? You read it going up? Thats the part thay confused me, the 97 degrees which is longitude you went UP then went left counting the little marks. Thats whats confusing me I dont know if Im explainging myself correctly.
If i am thinking of the same question, the surface would be correct for the airport (since it says "-30") but the question is what is the floor of the "Class B" airspace in the area which is "110/30" so it would be 3000. We made it a little confusing by pointing out the airport. Sorry about that.
I am so frustrated with this. I have been studying these maps and I'm just not getting this. The nomenclature used in the answers for the video didn't make sense to me. I'm working on a practice test and I cannot figure out the questions concerning the floor and ceiling of the areas around certain airports. I'm searching the maps for the indicated references and cannot find them.
The sectional charts give a lot of people issues until it finally clicks. I'd recommend going through our module on sectional charts again. It will fill in some of the gaps. Don't worry, as long as you keep studying, you'll get it!

Awesome advice, so great to hear you passed!
Is it even possible to have 50% of the questions be on sectional charts?
@@randomskillgenerator4676 That is my thought. How is that even possible.

These maps were kicking my butt on the practice tests.. Thanks for the help understanding these!
This was really helpful, thank you for putting it together. I take my exam in a couple days and this makes me feel much better.
Thank you for taking a look at our video. Good luck with your exam; please let us know how you do!
You can actually see it says 10/30 for the shelf concerning area 2 in the first question, on the other side

I thought the same. Wouldn't the Class B airport also be DFW here? (not Addison)
Great quality !!! I am so glad I came across your channel.

Thank you I love the way you explain it so simple to understand. I want to see more of your videos ... Awesome 👍
Just a correction wouldn’t you have to fly 014 magnetic in order to fly 360 true, with a 14w variation?
Yeah, I noticed this too at 5:30. East is least (subtract) and West is best (add).
He says to subtract 11 for West variation but this is backwards.
thank you for your great knowledge video. you are the best thank you again
Thank you so much for making these videos!

The NC Airport is CurriTUCK ... the third one you said. 😉
thank you so much
On the first question, wouldn't the floor be at the surface?
