As a piano player, I don't spend enough time luxuriating in single line melody as an expressive tool. These exercises are *amazing*, and work particularly well over autumn leaves.
😂😂😂 Thanks Nick. Awesome video and lesson. I am a self taught guitarist and pianist since I was 15 yo (1976). Always wanted to learn jazz but could not find anyone with your knowledge to teach me. Will try picking up from here now in my 60s. 😂
Certainly, a thorough approach to any standard that may get us closer to where we want to go. But it also highlights how much time it takes to get there.
You inspire so many ideas that you will be responsible for blowing heads off so many followers that trying to follow your ideas. But nevertheless I believe everyone is happy 😊 So you are safe and ,please, keep going generously spreading ideas of MUSIC 🎶
Excellent stuff Nick. My favorite is 2. But I also especially prefer the one where you sing the melody. Something wrong with my headphones though - I can barely hear your soulful voice.
Nick, If I couldn't read one note of music I would still listen to you every week just to hear your gorgeous tone and vibrato. Peace out from Texas.
Amazing work❤

What a great soprano Timbre!
Awesome video as always. I don't know what I come back for more, the great tips or your lovely soprano tone. You sound so mellow, I dig it!
Fantastic. I am very sloooooooow doing these things, but hey, we all have to start somewhere. Great video. Thanks.
Thank you mind and ear opening+ ideas.
