I downloaded this video, got audio into my DAW .... and slow down this speedy burst of notes to something for humans .... and learned a lot this way. Thanx for your approach and time !!!

By far the best and most efficient method I've ever tried ... so many cool licks you can create with this

AWESOME LESSON!!!! I am a guitar player but this concept can work on guitar and help break out of the mundane soloing of a pentatonic. Throw a few Dom 7th arpeggios with enclosures and you can create a lot of tasty wicked solo lines. Thank you for making this videos!!! Very helpful to expand the mind to new techniques and concepts!!!!

This video has blown a great big hole through the door which was holding me back in terms of putting a theme together during chord progressions.

Outstanding lesson for generating melodic ideas on sustained chords in model vehicles. Beautiful soprano sax playing as well. Fingering is a little awkward on guitar but I am working on it.

fantastic, really shows how easily you can get some freedom away from chord scale slavery
You just slip out the back, Jack
    Make a new plan, Stan
You don't need to be coy, Roy
    Just get yourself free
    Hop on the bus, Gus
You don't need to discuss much
Just drop off the key, Lee
    And get yourself free
    :)

AS ALWAYS i LOVE YOUR VIDEOS AND LEARN SO MUCH FROM THEM. sorry about the caps! I was hoping that the guitarist who played wonderfully in a pentatonic scope would venture off and play off some of the chromatic sounding notes that you play.

It's weird to see the guitarist "live" in the the Pentatonic and the sax go all chromatic. It's like I want to take those same blues guitar licks and slight them up and down the neck and then take some of these cool "soul licks" and interject them into the sax stuff. Great examples and series of themes.

I once went into this guitar shop in Guildford many years ago and there was a chromatic scale chart on the wall. This ultra meat/bone head guitarist was standing there looking at this chromatic scale chart and he's like, "Chromatic Scales? What sort of fish do you get them on then???" LOL!!! Well funny - I felt like saying a Cuttle Fish LOL!!!

Hey this is all really good stuff but I'm not this advanced to know all this. I think you have to learn how to play over the changes and have a good understanding of the fretboard or the fingerboard or whatever to get to this place. Till then I guess most of the work that we do in the instrument will be learning by rote or by imitation. Can you make some videos of how to get to the level where you can play over the changes and how to get there without it being so tedious and monotonous. If you know the changes to a song beforehand and you map out the notes then you can play over them but how to improvise over the changes? Like in Jazz? You have to know the fretboard but how to know the fretboard without going Eb F G Ab Bb C D Eb all over the fretboard in all keys all day?
