Glad you enjoyed your visit to the forest, I hope you find a more peaceful location when you come back. There are campsites at Ashurst and Matley so it’s quite well-trodden around there. If you’re coming by train, have a look around the next station, Beaulieu Road. There are some amazing quiet areas, just stay away from the campsites & large car parks. I’ve lived in the forest for over 15 years & never had any issues with a sly camp out, I’m sure you’ll be fine, especially with your camping etiquette as can be seen in your other videos.
"People will think i'm a complete nutter." Know you do they? 😂 Seriously though, thanks for your wonderful content. It's strange how things kick in isn't it. I put a handful of small carabina clips in my pocket when i took my Son to the Woods for a picnic in the Tent. As we were putting it up, one or the corner fabric bits snapped. My Son went,"Awww bro! No waay!" I suddenly remembered the clips and went,"Eyyy 'ang on a sec!" And i clipped the two broken bits together. It won't last many trips, but i was fascinated by the way my instincts just kicked in like that. Think i'm actually getting the hang of this stuff. 😂👍🤝
Thats it. Mick at Hampshire Outdoors and Survival is good at that sort of improvisation. I always carry a length of Duct tape wrapped around an old card, doesn't take up much space but its amazing what you can do with a couple of metres of duct tape!
Fantastic content, brother, forrests are almost non-existent in my hometown. Mind you, it has been voted the worst town in uk a few times .God bless you and your family, and happy camping 🏕 😀 😊 🙏 . Lee
There are huge areas of the new forest that are quiet. People tend to stick to campsites, car parks and towns. I have no problem finding quiet areas for wild camping. I’ve wild camped in Matley wood several times without issue.
Great vid mate I found the new forest to busy but did find a bit of peace and quiet and enjoyed it more, I think that log you sat on was were I stopped for a brew, could be wrong though, we all need our down time 👍
Yeah, that was in Matley wood. Just a lovely little woodland. I was going to explore further but i enjoyed that one so much I ended up sticking around for hours!
My dad lives in the middle near the high corner inn in linwood .. absolutely stunning location - well worth a visit. Great cycling too.
It really was a lovely place. I only explored a tiny part of it, I think I'll need to go back at some point.

Cheers Lee, I really enjoyed this one.
Come to Wiltshire for big sky and open views on the download 🙂. Another lovely video. I'm surprised you didn't see any snakes there in the New Forest.
It was the right weather for them, I rarely see snake to be honest, I'm probably too heavy footed.

Yeah, once I got past that initial wood next to the campsite it quietened right down.
