    I have only ever used this process for T/Ls. I did so after watching Terry White make a tutorial for TH-cam. I have made shorts of video and T/Ls with music along with zoom effects. It is important to reference any other media used in your presentations, I am glad you mentioned that.

    Very helpful thank you so much, this works so much better than any of the video editing software I've been trying to use and I have a lot more control. My frames start out from a trail camera so they're very large and need to be trimmed down and Photoshop makes it so much easier.

      @@MichaelShainblum finally got around to giving this a try and although the steps seemed a little different for me, maybe because I use a PC or because I had already cropped my images prior to uploading to PS, the process was super simple even for someone like me thats not very PS savvy and a 1st time time-lapse shooter. Between this and I'm about halfway through your master class, you're a great help and inspiration. Thank you

    Thank you Michael. I appreciate that you were able to make it through the pandemic. I currently have 727 images that I am going to make a timelapse with. It is the Beaver Moon aligning with the observation deck of the CN Tower. I was wonder if there is a control for, speed, how many frames per second in Photoshop?     Hey Michael, Ive made a few time lapses and have learned from trial and error. I even time lapsed our christmas tree one time with a longer exposures to capture Santa Claus. LOL Motion blur and a red coat made my daughter light up thinking it was Santa. Sorry Hayden if you read this!! Anyway, so much to learn and love seeing your time lapses. Also I love to support fellow photographers, so I purchased your Master Class! can't wait to dive in. Hope it goes into more advanced stuff and doesn't stay in the beginner zone. Cheers!!

    Great video. Make it look so simple. A few questions.
    How many images did you have?
    What was the shutter speed of them?
    How far apart was each shot? A sec?
    Definitely going to get the time lapse tutorial.

    Hey Michael,
    thank you very much for introducing me to this feature in Photoshop, I find it to be a lot more convenient than doing it in Lightroom !
    I have a question however, and that is, is it possible to stabilise the frames ? I have done a test time-lapse and it was fairly windy and I was at a high focal length and the video looks a bit shaky.
    Also the video timeline is not showing with me, is there a keyboard shortcut to make it appear ?

    Your images need a sequence number at the end of their file name, at least 4 digits long, I.E "XYZ-0001.jpg". You'll see it in this video too. He missed explaining that.

      I couldn't open my image sequence, photoshop just deselect them. file naming is the problem?

      Thanks for this tip, I re-exported with the sequence as you said.
      But I am also only able to get first file only. Checkbox for sequence is checked. @Shuping Yin did you have success?

      @@aajaanron does the sequencing of your files all end with four numbers. It can’t be “example 01” I has to be “example 0001”

    Very helpful tutorial. I'm having one problem after I click control t the box appears around my hyperlapse image but I'm unable to change the size to fit my picture. Any idea why that's happening. If render video its too zoomed in because I'm unable to resize the box that appears after hitting control t.

    Thanks for the video. I've been taking daily photos of a tree outside my house (plan is to take 365 in a year). When i open the first photo i get a "this sequence has gaps" message due to other pictures being taken in between the daily photos ...... it wont open with the timeline along the bottom, Is there any way to achieve this or will it not work due to the sequence not being recognized? Ive tried to "sort by date" however still no luck!!!

    hey Michael you wouldn't happen to happen to know why when I open my image sequence in PS it won't allow me to play the Timelapse sequence? just gives me a crossed out circle when I put my cursor over the play button. Every single step you state works for me except being able to play and ultimately I can only "render image sequence" not "render video"

    Thanks, Michael. I did my first time lapse this evening following your video step by step. It worked! Do you have suggestions about time lapses at sunset or sunrise? I started out a little overexposed at the beginning on purpose, but it still got underexposed very quickly.

    Thank you for the video. I Do not know why but I follow all the steps, i make timeline on my sony a7iii built in intervelometr, convert to jpeg and I open image sequence in photoshop then set 30 fps but the time lapse is still not loading in, I am missing the whole bottom bar with the timelapse like you have. I dunno what I am doing wrong.. maybe the photoshop is not working properly on mac m1 silicon

    Hi Michael, I followed your steps..I have a lightning timelapse I am trying to render. But everytime, there is a nasty banding showing up in the final render. How can fix that. I have color channel as 32 bit. Should I use something other than H.264?

    Is there a way to delete some files? I have red lights in my sequence of the Milky Way that I don't like. Can I just delete them or will that mess up the sequence numbering?

      I was having the same issue. In my case I went and renumbered the photos and the situation resolved itself.

      Rename the files with a 4 digit sequence number.

    A friend sent this to me, and I followed your steps to open in PS. However, when I click on the first image in the sequence, then click image sequence, then open, PS only imports the first photo. I've tried changing the format from all formats to jpg, and then it won't let me click image sequence.

    When I try these steps I dont get the Frame Rate dialog box pop up and everything opens individually.
