I try to have a consistent curve radius for the inner trumpet turn (the 270° one) as it makes the build look a bit cleaner. So I measure the initial layout a bit differently. Also, when connecting the collector with the 4-lane highway, I like to use the complex curve tool over the simple curve. The simple curve creates a too tight turn onto the 4-lane highway section, so I tend to build a smooth S-curve onto the highway (and also off the highway onto the collector)

I've spent a bit of time on the pinavia but ive not been able to figure out how to do if any differently than videos that are up already. I'll not do a video unless I can make it sufficiently different from other people who have done it already. I might revisit that one as it is a beauty though.

Actually built this a week earlier but with some diffrent connections, worked great since the roads were kind of offset
