    So I see lots of 5 minute videos and think "hmm that's fast!" yet this one is 29 minutes but gives this amazing knowledge that no other video does.

    Thanks for the video Eli! I can see clearly why someone would want to go with a Type 2 ESXi. I may have missed this,- what would be the pros for turning to a Type 1, assuming you have a SAN set up, understand that a management service like vSphere are necessary, etc.?

    Good explanation overall. In your example however you still have to licence the guest OS operating system, as well as ESXI/vsphere. Alternatively, in the enterprise, purchase MS Windows Datacenter licence which covers you for Windows clustering and unlimited guest Windows OS's. I've deployed both vmware and winodws hyperv clusters at managed by VMM at enterprise level - Vmware wins every time on functionality - MS Hyper/VMM wins on cost though

    Thank you Eli... I've been looking into cloud virtualization and what it takes to become an admin of cloud virtualization servers and working in that environment. I've learned an invaluable knowledge of what it involves and currently, I'm preparing to take the A+ certification and afterward the path will take me towards Network+ and Security+. After completing the three, I plan to either pursue the ccna or cloud+ certification. Eli, can you provide us with a video of what you as a professional that has worked in the field for years, could suggest the path towards the certifications you would recommend? Thanks in advance.

    If your physical machine goes down and you have a few different virtual servers, what happens to them? You say they can be moved to another machine but where is the data stored. Is it stored on the virtual machine companies server?

    Thanks a lot, sir for this introduction to virtualization. Please I do have a question. How do you resolve a problem where your virtual box failed to open a session for the virtual machine ubuntu?
    See detailed explanation below'
    Not in a hypervisor partition (HVP=0) (VERR_NEM_NOT_AVAILABLE).
    VT-x is disabled in the BIOS for all CPU modes (VERR_VMX_MSR_ALL_VMX_DISABLED).
    Result Code: E_FAIL (0x80004005)
    Component: ConsoleWrap
    Interface: IConsole {872da645-4a9b-1727-bee2-5585105b9eed}

    is it wise to try and get into cloud computing withiout a degree in computer science or no IT background. please advice

    • @starsoffyre

      You should do some online courses about it and play around with AWS. I'm now a cloud engineer at a bank and I did not have a computer science or IT background. But I spent many hours after work in my previous job learning.

  • @vittoriosilva1454

    Ran into that situation this weekend , if you use enterprise hardware and you aren't a dumbass , you transfer the drives to the server you had in storage and turn it on ... Viola !!! It's silly to try and hook a client up with some gaming machine you built in your basement , like I've seen microsoft clowns do multiple times ...
    hardware back-ups are just as important as data backups for business continuity ..
