I love your videos. You explain things so well and simplify complex topics so that anyone can understand them. This makes you a great teacher because you know how to relate with your audience. Thank you.
I'm studying IBM: Full stack software development, and at the end of each module i just want a youtube video to give a better picture of understanding on certain key words and man the way you explain is very calm not rushed, your drawings makes it very simple to understand. Thank you🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
The best explanation I have come across!! So a hypervisor takes a physical machine and not only makes it virtual, it can also duplicate it to where it becomes 'several virtual machines'
I love the format and content of your videos! This video came out just in time for me; I heard the senior programmers mention hypervisor. I was curious to know what hypervisor is. Excellent presentation!
Amazing explanation!!! I am a commerce student but was able to understand the Hypervisor clearly at a high level. Thanks for all your help in putting it in simple terms for common guy like me to understand. thanks
A Hyperviser is a software process running in a physical computer (powerful one) to schedule resources (CPU, RAM and Network) for VSIs (Virtual Server Instances).
back in 1987 when i was a UCSD student, we already wrote an app to run Sun Solaris OS /Novell/DOS on PC. CPU processing power/Ram/boot disk and user data disk space are partitioned to run multiple OS. that app is "hypervisor" we call it today. we did this back in 1987. we should start a company back then hahaha. Honestly, we were bored with virtual technology at that time. Maybe, VMware stole the idea from us. lol. i never push my own data to the cloud. A guy like me can read your data all day. haha
🎯 Key Takeaways for quick navigation: 00:29 🖥️ *A hypervisor is software that virtualizes a compute host's functions, dividing CPU, RAM, and network resources into subparts for multiple virtual servers.* 02:45 🔒 *The hypervisor ensures data security by creating barriers between virtual servers, preventing unauthorized access to data between instances.* 04:34 📦 *Storage for virtual servers can be attached through the hypervisor, directly to the server, or via network storage like an NFS share, impacting data routing and accessibility. * 05:55 💰 *Hypervisors enable multi-tenancy, driving down compute costs significantly, making it feasible to sell virtual servers at a fraction of the cost of a dedicated compute host.* Made with HARPA AI
Amazing content, love these videos, always watch them whe I dont know something. Just a question,, waht would be the name on configuration of the three ways to share storage on minute 4:46?
This is really helpful! Sorry for the dumb question as a layman, but what is the difference in terms of terminology between the hypervisor and the virtual machine? Is the hypervisor just the way that the VMs interact with the underlying host?
I had a question. The network component of your compute host, what exactly is its purpose if the hypervisor is what grants it the capability to extend the compute host's power upon multiple workloads? Is that what let's you transport the data to your own computer in the first place?
Good explanation however what's missing the players who make hypervisors. Like what do aws, azure, gcloud, digital Ocean use? How would one do it to their own server.
The explanations on this channel are amazing. Perfectly articulated. Great job.
Never heard a better explanation on virtualisation and the role of a hypervisor. Well done
Hey Allan! Thank you so much for watching and for the awesome feedback. 😃 Appreciate it!

Great explanation. But maybe you should precised that you are talking about hypervisor of type 2
Thx for explaining
best thanku, hypervisor is used in virtualization?
