Thank you Eli, this was an important one. This is another huge obstacle for OSS as functions & classes are built to encapsulate and make code reusable. The final code challenge for dominance has begun!

Eli! I want to start with thank you, you taught me so much about computers, servers and even being professional. One thing i would love to see is a real tech guy making videos about home automation (HOME ASSISTANT, openhab, etc) using scripting and command line tasks, you know the bare minimum of automations. Something that is not covered thoroughly. Please Eli we need you!!!

Eli: "Creating these classes cost time and money. If appreciate these classes consider making a one time pay...."

Virtualisation being 12 years old? For x86, sure. But IBM mainframes started that back in the 1960s.

.... mainframes are not virtualization... ...

@@elithecomputerguy Seriously? Mainframes were very expensive. Only the biggest companies could afford one, others would buy "time" on one. Although mainframe OS's could be multi-user, full hardware virtualisation was soon developed to properly isolate customers. Similar to today's VPSs, only forty years ago.

If you lookup the definition of hypervisor on Wikipedia you will find the following. "IBM System/360-67, the first production computer system capable of full virtualisation. IBM first shipped this machine in 1966", not to mention the fact that VMWare released VMWare Workstation back in the late 90s so even x86 virtualisation has been around for 20+ years. There are a number of things wrong in this video even your comments about the languages. Just because the examples provided on the site are in language x,y,z does not mean that they are the only languages you can use. For example the cURL (which BTW in this context is in fact the cURL tool not the curl programming language as you implied, they are two distinct things) example you showed is just calling a URL with specific parameters which can just as easily be done in just about any modern programming language. I don't normally comment on such things, but this just feels like you have done just about enough research to make it sound like you know what you are talking about to try and release a video on a hot topic to pull in views/revenue. Which is a shame, as I subscribed as some of your other videos where quite informative, I know just question how many misleading things were in those too.

@@funkymuk imagine thinking videos on a topic that gets 3000 views are being done solely to pull in revenue. The motivations people will ascribe to us for $5.75 are ridiculous

@@funkymuk A subscriber is worth 5 cents a year, if even. A request for donation means 1-3% of the viewers may consider giving a dollar - at 1000-3000 views for the courses, comes out to a viewership that may give $30 total, plus $5 ad revenue per video. It is one thing to advocate for correct information, but it grows tiring to have people imply that we are all out whores. What hoops would you jump through for five to thirty dollars?
