So Hyang is a devout Christian and gospel singer from South Korea. However, she can sing any genre of music. In her early 20's and newly married, she was diagnosed with early stage uterine cancer, which left her unable to have children. After being completely healed by God and her doctors, So Hyang's goal has been to use her voice to bring comfort to people who are experiencing difficult times. She IS NOT motivated by either money or fame. She has rejected numerous offers from major record labels. In addition to being a published author of several fiction books, she lectures about singing and vocal techniques at a South Korea university. So Hyang, her husband, and some assistants, arrange every aspect of her live performances; the music, the backing vocals, staging, lighting, etc.

She has a compromised immune system and has battled severe pneumonia eight times between 2016 - 2020. There are several performances on TH-cam where she performed while not fully recovered against doctors' orders. Because her technique is rock solid, she gave a master class performance each time.
