You can definitely use the boots without the insole but it will increase the size of the boot by maybe a half size. you could ware a thick sock or a second sock.
@@Mr.R.Tennant perfect thank you for the reply. do you wear a 12 in normal shoes as well? these are my first cowboy boots i bought a pair of the hyer codells in size 12 recently loving them so far just wanted to make sure i got the correct size, i feel like if i sized down to an 11.5 my toes would be crammed in the toe box.
@chad1337 I ware a size 12 in Mose of my shoes (HeyDude, Merrell). If this is your first pair of boots your toes should not be crammed if they are go up a size. Your heel will slide up and down a little when they are new. (this is normal).the part of the boots arouse the top of your foot should be snug not tight they should feel like a nice pair of gloves.

How about the option to not use a removable insole? I prefer a hard leather insole that forms to your foot. What’s under the removable insole?
Under the comfort insert is a Good-year welted construction / Hard leather insole!

Did you go true to size on these? I normally wear a 12-12.5 and went with the 12
I ware a 12 in Hyer I would say they are true to size I also ware a 12 in Ariat, Tecovas, and Dan Post
