How did you figure out what size to get for these? I'm currently living in the Middle East (ie. no way to get sized for boots).
Great video This Is super helpful I was thinking of buying a very similar boot from Ariat and I just ordered a pair of m5’s hoping they’ed sit on my boot how I like and it looks like they will
I have a small foot and I really wanted the “ doc” in black but apparently the ability to restock is a far away country for Tecova
The toe stitching is referred to as a toe bug on all boots
These have become my most comfortable boot. I have the exact same one.

Do you get true to size?
Yes the Tecovas run true to size. I ware a size 12 in Ariat, Tecovas, Hyer, and Dan Post.
In comfort how does this boot compare with the Tecova doc ?
I would say the Hyer has more cushioning than the Doc this is due to the removable sole / insert. They are both great boots

With my Ariats that have the wide shaft I slap on a pair of Boot Jacks to cinch em up a bit and they work great.
I have a set of BootSnake that I use.

Yes they do. I have Tecovas, Chisos, Ariat, Dan Post and they are all the same size.

Yes all my Hyer boots have a real leather stacked heal.
I have these exact boots. I’m a 9.5 D and they fit good but I did notice they are a little narrower than their other boots. I’m thinking about getting them in a rough out for work but waiting to see how these break in. How are they coming along for you at this point:=?

My exact pair just arrived and really like them, that color is so unique and classy.
The welt coming all the way back is interesting. In my boots it stops an inch or two before the heel and the gap has nails I like the toe too it's almost like a french toe

Look at the date of manufacture my boots show V01-24 I think it is something they are doing now. This is the first time I have seen the bags.

I ware a 12 in Hyer I would say they are true to size I also ware a 12 in Ariat, Tecovas, and Dan Post
@@Mr.R.Tennant perfect thank you for the reply. do you wear a 12 in normal shoes as well? these are my first cowboy boots i bought a pair of the hyer codells in size 12 recently loving them so far just wanted to make sure i got the correct size, i feel like if i sized down to an 11.5 my toes would be crammed in the toe box.
@chad1337 I ware a size 12 in Mose of my shoes (HeyDude, Merrell). If this is your first pair of boots your toes should not be crammed if they are go up a size. Your heel will slide up and down a little when they are new. (this is normal).the part of the boots arouse the top of your foot should be snug not tight they should feel like a nice pair of gloves.
Somehow, with the lighting and blue jeans, the boots take on a dark/navy blue tint. It's a cool, unintentional effect.
Just think how epic it'd be if they released a dark navy pair of these!
