Very helpful, thank you. I would like to ask how to make if have the radio next to me, and i want to pass from MissionPlanner/gamepad to the radio for control the drone by it. As a sort of redundant system. Thank you
Hi CP-zi3eg. You’re welcome. The default/recommended setup for arducopter is to use the rc radio as documented on the ardupilot website. Mission planner/gamepad is just an added feature to control the drone with your groundcontrol station. Once you enable the joystick in mission planner, the control will be handed over to the gamepad. If by any chance you disable joystick or unplug the gamepad while drone is midair , the rc radio will takeover. With this you have to be sure your rc radio throttle is at middle. If rc radio is not present only then failsafe will kick in and rtl your drone as shown in my video.
Thanks brp for making such a good video, i wonder what if i make DIY joystick from arduino and connect with the same way using joystick mission planner. Is it possible? Hmm
@@leandro1869 I’m using the Mission Planner as my groundcontrol station. All you have to do is configure the gamepad as seen on the video. Mission planner will then send mavlink messages to the drone.
Thank you so much❤🎉
Damn so well-explained and filmed video, youre the best❤
nice, cant wait to hook this up to a flight sim cockpit lol
Hey thanks! this is awesome. I picked up an old quad and wanted to use a pc based ELRS connection to fly it with a joystick
Nicely explained! Now we don’t need a RC radio for controlling drones. Telemetry is enough.

Really you are great man

Cool , it's possible to use a side stick ?
Really helpful. Thanks!
@masterking549. Glad I could help. Love sharing my passion with the community of rc and robotics enthusiast.
@@LyndonsWorkshopVery good! What software did you use to send the commands?

Its a very helpfull information, where can i contact you? i have some project to work on. Thanks
hey whats up!! you no need rc controller here?? only whith tr pc joystick??
Yes, no rc radio. Only use the telemetry radio with laptop and gamepad.
Nice but your antennas are cross polarized. Worst scenario. Normally both points up.
