Steve; I just have 2 comments. I wonder why for a 400 HP suv they put on such small tires. 2. I have read in multiple articles that the "reliability factor" of Jaguar's leaves alot to be desired. Whats your opinion??
The rubber on it from the factory is Continental CrossContact LX which are pretty good for all season traction and cornering. Reliability is an interesting one.. I just dove into like 100 NHTSA consumer complaints for 2021 - 2023 models and a high number were tied to the infotainment system, OTA updates and locks but there weren't many that dealt with powertrain or other reliability issues. They could still happen and I'm sure they do but I can't judge future performance on past results... Looking at the bigger picture, sales are down a bit for Jaguar as a brand globally in the last year but higher interest rates are affecting consumer buying habits across all brands.. plus Jags have a higher price point. I know a guy who has owned different Jags (F-Types) for years and will keep buying them because he loves the brand

Ohh that's a tough question. I don't have the need for something as big as the ST but I love its performance and handling. The F Pace is a different beast - especially when you look at the P400 or P550. For you personally I'd ask a few questions.. Are you trying to get into different social circles? There are car clubs for both but you'll be in front of a different crowd in a Jag compared to an Explorer. The F Pace styling is better in my opinion and would be more in line with the Lincoln Aviator (which has the same engine as the Explorer ST). Are you on a bit more of a budget, want something fun on the road and track that you can easily mod if you want? The Explorer ST should be what you look at. The Explorer has seating for up to 7 vs 5 in the F Pace but the cluster and infotainment is in need for an update that's coming for the 2025 model. What are you driving now and what's important for you in a vehicle?
I had almost the same question but between à f pace and jeep grand cherokee, I just bought the f pace waiting for it I hope I didn't make a bad decision especially that the new f pace will be out soon I think

Reliability has been improving over the years but there are still NHTSA owner complaints with the majority of them seeming to stem from issues with the infotainment, OTA updates and 12v battery. Steve, would you take the F Pace over a Ford Explorer ST? I’m looking at both vehicles and would really appreciate your opinion on the matter. Thanks.

How is the realiablity history of the F-Pace SUV's? The Lasnd Rover/Rasnge Rover's are still iffy in 2024.
Also what is the ground clearance for the F-Pace SUV's?
Looks like Jag has put a bit of throught in the F-Pace outside and IN. Some intelligence in design. ANd there doesn't look to be any cheap bits (as seen in the expensive Benz G-Wagon-dated Nv--NO TOUCH SCREEN...HEH)
Reliability has been improving over the years but there are still NHTSA owner complaints with the majority of them seeming to stem from issues with the infotainment, OTA updates and 12v battery. The design has definitely come a long way and the only odd piece I found was the blackberry storm style button right under the infotainment screen
The standard ground clearance for the 2024 is about 8.4" - oddly something I don't cover in many of my videos
