This was a fun pizza oven to review. The Everdure KILN 2 features an auto-rotating 16" stone and dual burners - one large U-shaped burner up top and one small burner under the stone.
Only the top burner has an adjustment dial, whereas the bottom burner is either on or off.
It should also be noted that the Everdure KILN comes in both a single burner (KILN 1) model and a dual (KILN 2), and I reviewed the 2. Honestly, for the price difference of like $100, I would definitely go with the double burner.
The price of ~$720 seems pretty reasonable when looking at the build quality, 16" size, and rotating stone. I hope you enjoy this Everdure KILN 2 review - let me know what you think! - ภาพยนตร์และแอนิเมชัน
Great video! Thanks
This is definitely leagues ahead of the other pizza ovens
If someone makes pizza often then they should definitely get this
What is the hydration of your dough. I noticed the bottom of my pizza's are underdone compared to top.
Great review with real problems we all encounter. I have a Halo and like how easy it is for a clean freak like me to clean with the pop top. I’m gonna try and insulate the top to see it it will get a bit hotter.
How is your experience with Neapolitan Pizza? Other reviews says the Halo get how enough...
@@geraldsahd3413 I don't really do Neapolitan pizza. Mine are kind of cross between them and NY. I have dome insulation I am going to put in the lid to see if it gets hotter. I for sure love the look and versatility of this oven but the Halo's pop top is something I really really like.
There is a mode out there that adds a separate control to the bottom burner. It's in one of the Halo FB groups I can't help but think an adjustable (2-5 psi) regulator would push more heat out of the Halo.
@@geraldsahd3413 MYBINL has one and it works. Not in 90 seconds but turns out perty good in 2-3 minutes.
Can you make an updated video on how to make dough, new york style
Hey - here is my NY recipe (if you're using earbuds, make sure the left one is in; glitch in the audio)

What cart do you have this sitting on?
I found it locally on Facebook Marketplace, its actually clean room equipment from a lab!
Do they have a business share with Witt? Because the interior is exactly the same as the Witt Etna Rotante.
Yeah the two companies partnered on the internal build/design, but kept things separate for external.
I am tempted to sell my Ooni Koda 16 to purchase this oven. Thoughts? I do like NY style better in general
If you like to do NY more, then you'll like the KILN more. 16" NYs can be done in the Koda, but as you probably know, getting the flame low enough can sometimes blow out from the wind, and you have to rotate it frequently to not burn the edge.
Great deal now through BBQ guys too for 25% off - bbqguys.sjv.io/DKa3k5
For NY pizzas, do you prefer this or the Halo Versa?
They cook very similar. If you're only planning NY style, I'd probably lean Halo right now since it's so heavily discounted - bbqguys.sjv.io/21LX6M
$150 off is awesome. For the Everdure, you'd be paying for some extra horsepower you won't be using.
Well, is it worth the price differential with the Halo Versa?
If you want an oven that can do Neapolitan, yes, for sure. The Halo is too low of a temp to cook real Neapolitan, so that's a ~$400-$550 (depending on sale) oven just for NY style. For everything you get, the price is worth it. For me personally, I'm not necessarily tied to auto rotation, as I really like maneuvering pizzas myself. So it wouldn't be my top choice personally (still love the bakes on an Ooni Karu and the Gozney lineup).
@@palapizzaovens I really like your reviews. The point about Neapolitan is well taken but I think a rotating tray really only makes sense for larger pies more in the NY style category. The Neapolitan you are probably better served by maneuvering the pizza yourself with such a quick cooktime anyway. Would the rotation even spin twice during a cook? Keep up the great work.
@@mikehiesener4139 Thanks Mike! It spins at a decent speed, I think it gets about ~4 rotations in.
@@mikehiesener4139 Really good point -
how is everdure vs gozney s1.
If you're willing to spend more, I'll for sure take the Gozney Dome S1 over the Everdure. Check out my review on the S1, it just went up last week. Love it!
do you prefer this or karu 16?
I still prefer my Karu 16. The auto rotation isn't a selling point to me (I prefer turning them myself). And living in the northeast, the door is better for getting the stone up to temp in the winter.
This pizza oven is on sale for $599. I am going to order one,is there a specific code to use so you get a commission. Thanks
$599 is an amazing price for this right now. And thank you John - if you just click my link before buying I should get referral credit bbqguys.sjv.io/DKa3k5
Much appreciated, and let me know how you like the new oven.
How has the oven been working. I think the 599 was for the single burner
@@D.D.T.123 love it, the price was for the kiln 2
@@johnklapish6807 what types of pizza do you cook in it? Where was it 599? Any experience in wind? Thanks.
@@D.D.T.123 The double burner was $599 for a very brief time, like a few days. I'm not sure if it was error or what but it seemed way too cheap! Oven is holding up great, I've actually had it outside all winter, but covered, and no signs of wear or rust or anything
Where I can buy it?

I wanted to buy one but end up making one
I have a lot of respect for those who build an oven!
@@palapizzaovens Thanks a lot
Is there a natural gas option?
Not at this time
