Nothing but respect for you Mariano. Thanks for being transparent. That’s what makes you so great compared to many others. You keep it real and that’s what we love. No doubt in my mind you’ll get that money back plus a whole lot more. You’re one of the best poker vloggers if not the best on TH-cam. Keep grinding bro
Mariano and Brad Owen are top two in my book; I'll give the edge to Owen because he's more of an entertainer whilst still giving great hand analyses. I wish I could still say Neeme but he's all but disappeared; he's the OG.
Very bad run of cards. I was watching the streams, the line up looked good, thought you and Ethan had a good shot of winning big. Unfortunately it wasn’t in the cards. Taking a short break has helped me throughout my career. Enjoy the beach, your girl, family for a while. The poker games will be waiting for you when you return. Best of luck to you in the future, I’m in your corner every time.
"I just like it here." A poignant and powerful start to an account, and a line that speaks to the overarching importance of things like natural beauty. As someone in my mid-50s who has seen all of life's ups and downs, I can say that Mariano has more wisdom and savvy than I remotely had at his age. And yet, I wish for this talented and charming young man to have a long conversation with someone much older, from outside the poker world, about the implications of your current path -- financial, emotional, and so much else. Poker Vlogging may look very different -- and be much harder to monetize -- in five years, or five months. Building a nest egg, and mitigating life's disasters, has so many components. Your future may well be in poker, and I hope it is, but you have a world of talents and a life ahead of you. I wish you good choices and great success. Best regards from a fan.
I remembered this video from when you first tried playing higher stakes and specifically remembered you saying you were trying to progress into bigger games and these losses were gonna happen.. Well i recently (3 months ago) quit my job and been playing 3/5 a few nights a week and this past week ive been on a crucial downswing from hell. But it gives me faith seeing this video again and knowing how far you've come, now one of the best players on the biggest live streams winning 3/4 million dollar pots and shit, just gives me motivation to keep pushing knowing this downswing wont last forever and the more i lose the more i learn and eventually 1 day ill be able to progress into bigger stakes like you and get my chance to shine! I appreciate you still putting out these videos even after making it man youre a huge inspiration to alot of us and cant thank you enough for the time and effort you've put into your content! Stay Blessed Mariano ✌️

Shoot your shots while you’re young. If you wait, it’ll be to late. Life happens bro. Money comes and goes but experience lasts forever. Keep your head up.
It happens my dude. I went on a 100k downswing 5 months in to playing professionally. Standard stuff, just massive coolers tbh. But 4 months later I was completely out of it, even after dropping down significantly in stakes. It takes time but you will get out of it. The hardest part for me was the feeling of stagnation, like I had to catch back up to where I was. Like I was spinning my wheels. I suspect your situation is similar, where your financial well-being is not threatened but it's extremely frustrating putting in hours and seemingly moving backwards.
Must be nice to lose 100k in a few months and not have any financial well being issues, not sure why it made you feel stagnant if you still had a mill in the bank
@@AV-cc5wl I didn't and still don't. Between poker and crypto, I bottomed out around the -120k mark -40k in crypto -80k in poker and that was about 60% of my bankroll gone at the time.

That's a tough one man. I watched the stream you and Ethan did after the loss and I think you both said a lot of good things on there. I appreciate the ambition to climb the stakes. Success will come if you keep putting in the work. As always, props on another great video.
Wow amazing post - no one ever shows this side of the game and it happens all the time. Your honesty and perseverance is very compelling. Keep us posted with your journey and stay strong.
I can tell you are more than just a poker player! Your creativity in your videos far surpasses all the other poker vlogers.... Great Job! See you at the Lodge!!
Thanks for sharing and keeping it real. It’s good to know us non-vloggers are not the only ones that have downswings. It can be a viscious game, but your positive attitude is inspiring.
1st thing hat's off to you for trying a bigger game. 2nd I think you and Ethan was too busy trying to prove something amongst the big boys at the table and pride got in the way of playing good. 3rd its tough playing against players who probably have a bigger bank roll than you. Keep the Vlogs coming and I'm sure you'll get it back
Yep. We watch these guys because they present there games well... not about the stakes they play. They'll get up there sooner than later. But no need for them to feel pressure to do so until there bankrolls support it.
Losing is a huge part of growing, and you WILL grow to be a great player since everyone would agree you do have passion for the sport and the time you put in to it including the vlogs. Look forward to witnessing greatness in the future.
It's easy for us on the sidelines to say "Hang in there." I will offer this. Your honesty and humble approach to what you share in inspiring. Best of luck with your future.
Thanks for the transparency! Looking forward to the next high stakes vlogs, because like you said, this has happened at the beginning each time you've jumped up in stakes. Good things to follow for a competent player!!
When taking a shot, I suggest you to take enough time to feel game flow dynamics and come up with your strategy to exploit your opponents. I don't think you did enough of that in this session. Your 3 bets weren't pushing equity, it was simply increasing the variance out of positions against opponents who don't fold enough. Sure, you were running bad here. However, your calls were not sharp which you usually don't make. You also deviated a lot from how you plan to play the hand here and there. I didn't see you doing any when you were playing ur A game in lower stakes.
I'm so glad to see a poker vlogger include their biggest loss. A problem a lot of early vloggers make is up they're afraid to admit that some days just suck. These are great days to learn lessons about patience, having a sense of humor, and learning to take life in stride.
It’s poker! Patience is crucial. I didn’t see that on that session QT off, J9, AT, squeezing with 66 and calling with A high. If is you’re first time moving up your stakes you have to play very tight until you feel more comfortable. Don’t move up just yet if the bankroll isn’t good enough. Keep it up and don’t play with a PSG jersey anymore it’s definitely bad luck!
I was going to the comment the exact same thing, but I'll just thumbs up your comment. Totally agree he needs to play super tight and then maybe adjust his play style depending on how the players are playing at the table. Way too many loose aggressive moves made at the table.
Yeah he really didn’t have to play the aggressive style with offsuit hands like he did. Like why not pick better spots. Either way, he is still a great player but I think he relied on the cards too much in this session. I didn’t mind the squeeze with pocket 66’s as I’ve been theorizing on playing that hand much stronger in deep stack situations but patience is key as jj7 said.
completely agree. First time watching this guy and I’m sure he’s been a great player to get to where he is, but that was wayyy too reckless in every way possible. Can’t blame run bad for any of that.
Bro at least you are honest. How many pro youtubers only go over big wins and small losses, never showing they’re big loses. Showing your losses and go over those hands with us is also significantly more valuable as a learning mechanism for those who are still learning the game. I just came back to poker after years and years off, and am still discovering there is a fuckload I need to improve on. Thank you for sharing brother
Oh man. I’m sorry to see this. It was hard to watch and I cant believe the way everything unfolded. You’re still a champion to us and we’ll keep cheering you on no matter what. Keep your head up and hang in there. It’ll be okay.

Hey Mariano, I'm not sure how I could cope with a loss like that. I've been following you for a long time and think you are one of the best poker vloggers on the tube. I predict you are going to crush it when you next play 5/10. Phil
Well done for keeping it real and showing the reality of the ups and downs involved in grinding a living making poker. The tide will turn back in your favour soon.
I’m rooting for you man, don’t listen to the negativity. Keep showing all sides, positive and negatives, in these vlogs. It will make reaching your goals that much sweeter.
I have been playing poker for a living for a long time. The ace high call is one of those calls you make and afterwards you are so mad at yourself. You want to be the hero and your judgment is totally clouded by that. It blows up in your face and you immediately question if you are even good at the game. Been there I know how it is. It’s easy to lose confidence and second guess yourself regardless of past results you’ve had after a play like that. If Mariono is like me and I think he is this will haunt him for a long time. Learn from it try not to dwell on it move on and try to play better next time. Good luck my man. Few people understand how mentally taxing the journey of a professional poker player is.
The attitude in this video is outstanding for the result. Rampage sat and bitched in his "personal channel" video, this was the exact opposite. Lots of respect man a true professional.
Mariano I am sorry for this loss you are a great guy I'm sure and you've had many winning sessions too so you're a good player regardless what happened here. I do though want to advise you as a much older gentleman in my mid 60's now I can tell you that 95% of the gamblers out there will go broke one day or another I've seen it with my own eyes many people I've known since the mid 1970's that have lost everything and some of these guys were great poker players too, some great Craps players and some great BJ players but great is just another work of "luck" trust me on this one because when one wins they are a great player but they have to second guess their luck, that's really all gambling is even poker really, I know in poker you can win more often if you are a more aggressive player and try and force others out of their hands regardless of what you have but that comes back to haunt you in bigger stakes games as you are now playing with people with deeper pockets than you and to them $30K may just be a drop in the bucket and the aggressive style will not work anymore..there are even great examples of pros going broke because of their aggressive style like Gus Hanssen for example, even though he had deep pockets there are always others with even deeper ones. Anyways, I don't mean to lecture you even though this might sound like it but making a living in gambling does NOT work for 95% of the gamblers out there and eventually go broke. I like you and like to watch you play you have an interesting channel and a likeable personality so please don't look for bigger stakes games I would hate to see you go broke, stay in small games keep making these videos and put a cap to the days loss even in the small games that way you don't get hurt because trying to outguess lady luck never really worked for anyone..peace bro and good luck on your next outing.
Rough one bro but thanks as always for putting yourself out there and being real. Think you still played well for the most part on those streams but sometimes the cards just don't fall right...Keep your head up though, I know you'll bounce back and one day we'll get to see you crushing alongside Garrett and Andy!
Watching your video and Rampages video made me sad today. I was rooting for both of you and love watching the combo videos! Keep your head up, keep churning out the videos, I love the content and really enjoy learning from you!!!
Not the title line that I was looking for, especially since it was on your vlog. Felt even worse when I saw how visibly gutted you were looking. Having said that, I always feel that it is better to lose on your first attempts rather than win big as that often gives a sense of overconfidence. The loss that follows that overconfident feeling is even larger and more difficult to recover from. The experience will be extremely valuable. Just to let you know, yours is the only poker vlog that I regularly watch and wait for. I truly appreciate your transparency and comments on the games. Best wishes to you and look forward to your forthcoming vlogs.
AND THAT IS GAMBLING………yes I agree with NEWDAY, thanks for the transparency……..you will bounce back. Your my top 4 Texas holdem vlogers. I have learned so much just by watching these vlogs…….keep HITTING it. I’m gonna keep pushing to be a better player. I’m adding recreational Texas holdem to one of my retirement hobbies. Maybe do a little casino travel just like you guys are doing. DEFINITELY looks like a lot of fun. Thanks again 👍🏽💯💯💯
Hey Mariano, I thought you were one of the better players at the table... you’re creative and smart. Dry patches are inevitable but it’s how you react to them that is important. Keep your head up! We’ll still be here supporting no matter what.
Hi, this is the first time I write to you. I enjoy your vlog a lot. It is always nice to see you play. As you know loosing is a part of the deal, being a poker player. Regards from Israel
What an amazing post... I am sure it was not simple to revisit those hands to created the vlod. I am sure you will do great and much better in the future. Thank you for sharing your story.
You had a rough night. The very last hand you played summed up the night perfectly. But you'll get it back, no doubt. Just don't play with the Rampage mindset where you tell yourself you gotta get it back. Play your game and you'll rebound in no time.
Good for you taking a calculated shot, you can play those games but it is hard playing against players with massive rolls. You'll keep improving, good luck.
You did it. Respect to you mah brother. Respect! That must have been a hard video to do....but it is what it is - you will have equally large winning sessions too in the near future. So this is all just variance.... Aroni
On the bright side of things, you are up to 72K subs so that has to cushion the financial blow. TH-cam is your real bread and butter at this point. Learn from Rampage on that front and post more vlogs. You need an editor to work with you so you can post more often and grow your channel. THAT'S where the consistent money is.
Great vlog, Mariano. Great showing of humility and variance in poker. Also great for others to see someone taking a shot at higher stakes and running very bad. Keep up the great vlogs, keeping it real.
I’m a relatively new player and I’m on a little bit of a losing streak after some good wins. No matter what, your videos always inspire me to play better and smarter! Always have to stay positive and it would be awesome to play with you sometime
trust the process! very unlucky session but you will get it back...only hand I was surprised by your decision making was the light call down w/ Ace Ten against Reza...Imo it's either Allin (with the nut flush blocker) or fold
@Cesare Cesare i didn‘t check stack sizes…but i think all in (although not advisable against a calling station like reza) or fold are better than a call, especially with his hand not even being a great bluff catcher
Thanks for this video and for transmitting your deep thoughts and emotions even when things don't go your way... I know you come back stronger and it's just part of the game.💪 See you Mariano. Best greetings from Belgium!
Don't doubt for one minute you will get it all back and more. I seriously admire your extensive knowledge of the game and appreciate how your transparently share it all with us through these blogs!
Appreciate the transparency and honesty. Keeps me coming back. Most poker vlog channels only show the big wins, but the big losses are just as much a part of poker. Keep up the great content man!
You played well, the cards just didn't fall your way that night. Your openness on the loss is admirable. Anyway, I am now a new Subscriber. BTW: you are very funny on Rampage's vids its a fun and different side of you we don't see much on your channel. Love the vlogs good luck moving forward.
I know the feeling of trying to push the envelope when you're stuck your balls to get out of the red. Hindsight is 20/20 but with multiple loose/sticky player's it's time to play ABC with an occasional bluff. Keep up the grind, always love the quality of your posts
That was brutal. You had been running pretty well for a while. The rubber band eventually had to snap back. I understand about wanting to jump in stakes. Back to grinding though. Good luck. I’m gonna keep watching the vlogs and watching all ads 30 seconds or less. I enjoy the content and the commentary.
It was just a brutal session of bad cards, miserable turns, and a few dubious decisions but you handled it like the professional that you are. I think that you can beat that game in the long run but need a bigger bankroll obviously. I know you were taking a shot so hopefully the next time you run better. I'll be watching and rooting for you. Good luck to you!
Chin up Mariano, there will be better days ahead. Look forward to watching you play the Friday games with G-man, Andy, and Nick in the near future. Keep grinding and chasing your dreams.
A gut punch, and a moment for some reflection. NOT a failure, a teachable moment and time to look at what happened and how to move forward. Always forward never back. Thanks for sharing!
It's that MESSI jersey you had on... CR7 jersey would've tripled your money! Just kidding... it happens. I love your vlogs, and I think you're going to bounce back very fast. =)
Mario, I play poker also but almost exclusively small stakes at a couple of local casinos here in Missouri. (1-2 no limit with a max 300 dollar buy ins and some 100- 300 dollar buy in tourneys). I know what it's like to do everything "right" and then watch your opponents catch inside straights and 2 outers on the river. Of course I also make the terrible calls and then find out I was in third place all along!! The higher the risk the higher the reward. I just hope that you have maxed out your 401K/Roth IRA for the year and have all your debt paid off. (Non-mortgage debt that is- almost all of us have to carry a mortgage for long term especially in SoCal.) Don't ever forget to pay yourself first and then go have some fun, because the Brinks truck doesn't go to the cemetery with you when it's all over!!
Respect for making the vlog after a negative result. Not the easiest to do I can imagine. I always saw these moments as a chance to work on my mental game. "Mental game of poker" book was a nice start for some theory and hands on tools. Work on cognition, and as a result change your feelings and in the end your behavior on and off the table. You are a very competent player as far as I can tell with your videos, and you make way less mistakes than most at the table. Wish you a good mind set and hope to see you back at the tables sir!
Watched the stream and felt bad for you and rampage, but that game is wild and I've seen swings of 6 figures all the time, with Garret, Gol, Krish and the rest. you guys will be back!
The losses are as important as the wins… these types of logs really help put it in perspective for people who are trying to go to that next level. Chances are with your skill level, you will definitely surpass into the millions one day and this will just be a funny story you tell to your grandkids

Mariano is young, he needs to push so he makes a breakthrough. You don't succeed in life by sitting on the fence.
Rough one bro but thanks as always for putting yourself out there and being real. Think you still played well for the most part on those streams but sometimes the cards just don't fall right...Keep your head up though, I know you'll bounce back and one day we'll get to see you crushing alongside Garrett and Andy!
Minor setback for a major comeback my guy. Soon enough, these will be regular losses for you and the wins will be even bigger. Stay up.
Can see the gutted feeling on your face when you were leaving that table with a loss. Keep your head high man you are a good poker player my man 🙌🏻
He shouldn't play against these guys who can reload 5000 times...they have too much money. I can tell he was not completely comfortable.
Favorite channel… keep grinding man you know the best is yet to come.
Watching your video and Rampages video made me sad today. I was rooting for both of you and love watching the combo videos! Keep your head up, keep churning out the videos, I love the content and really enjoy learning from you!!!
rampage and mariano out here making reza and randall emmett look like pros haha
Not the title line that I was looking for, especially since it was on your vlog. Felt even worse when I saw how visibly gutted you were looking. Having said that, I always feel that it is better to lose on your first attempts rather than win big as that often gives a sense of overconfidence. The loss that follows that overconfident feeling is even larger and more difficult to recover from. The experience will be extremely valuable. Just to let you know, yours is the only poker vlog that I regularly watch and wait for. I truly appreciate your transparency and comments on the games. Best wishes to you and look forward to your forthcoming vlogs.
The pressure got to you bro! Stay solid and play your game consistent no matter the stakes. You will bounce back bro
Another day in the life. You still winning king gorgeous life and you play poker for a living! Stay gracious and humble you will always succeed
Please stop with this ''King'' bullshit.
The beach is a great place to clear your mind before a session bro
You had a rough night. The very last hand you played summed up the night perfectly. But you'll get it back, no doubt. Just don't play with the Rampage mindset where you tell yourself you gotta get it back. Play your game and you'll rebound in no time.
You are still my favorite poker blogger!
Even more now
Much respect Mariano. Best poker vlogger big brother. Mean Mindset can't be matched. I see you at the top soon. Stay quality. Big love!
Good for you taking a calculated shot, you can play those games but it is hard playing against players with massive rolls. You'll keep improving, good luck.
I gotta hand it to you, you take the big losses with class. You've got one of the best poker vlogs on TH-cam.
Keep it going. You got this 🤙🤙🤙. Most of us aren't even here for the poker, we're here for the b-roll & editing :)
THAT'S where the consistent money is.
when you feel really bad about it, just remember there were some people who shorted Tesla stock :D
That's brutal, but actually put a smile on my face.
I hope they're still holding
Yeah but they shorted with other people’s money though.
There's also that billionaire CEO lady who is likely going to jail for most of her life. Things can always be worse lol
@@Ihave10billionsubs I think you mean Karen the super trader
Great vlog, Mariano. Great showing of humility and variance in poker. Also great for others to see someone taking a shot at higher stakes and running very bad. Keep up the great vlogs, keeping it real.
Appreciate the transparency! Keep at it Mariano
I’m a relatively new player and I’m on a little bit of a losing streak after some good wins. No matter what, your videos always inspire me to play better and smarter! Always have to stay positive and it would be awesome to play with you sometime
Keep grinding brother!
Poker is a hard way to make an easy living.
One of your realest vids ✊🏾
trust the process! very unlucky session but you will get it back...only hand I was surprised by your decision making was the light call down w/ Ace Ten against Reza...Imo it's either Allin (with the nut flush blocker) or fold
Rampunt took his game to another level,
punting with players that are high skill and 100x his bankroll
People who find happiness from someone elses misery are the worst.
Appreciate the transparency and honesty. Keeps me coming back. Most poker vlog channels only show the big wins, but the big losses are just as much a part of poker. Keep up the great content man!
You’ve come a long way. Your doing great. You’ve bumped up your buy in. There is a learning curve
hats off for coming out with this one, it was rough but comes with the territory.
At least you didn't punt with KQ like another vlogger...🤣
Hang in there bro! Keep up the great work on the Vlogs!
I totally understand. It's a hope and a dream to play in the big game. One day it's going to pay off. Keep pushing bro!
You played well, the cards just didn't fall your way that night. Your openness on the loss is admirable. Anyway, I am now a new Subscriber. BTW: you are very funny on Rampage's vids its a fun and different side of you we don't see much on your channel. Love the vlogs good luck moving forward.
I love watching the journey. Stay the course and keep on moving.
I know the feeling of trying to push the envelope when you're stuck your balls to get out of the red.
Hindsight is 20/20 but with multiple loose/sticky player's it's time to play ABC with an occasional bluff.
Keep up the grind, always love the quality of your posts
You’re a real dude. Thank you for sharing. You are a competent player! . Keep pushing !
Good video I like showing the date on each vlog. Good luck
Thanks for the content man 🙏
You have been pretty spewwy in your vlogs the past few months. Lots of all in bluff plays for no reason
Keep up the great content bro!
It's that MESSI jersey you had on... CR7 jersey would've tripled your money! Just kidding... it happens. I love your vlogs, and I think you're going to bounce back very fast. =)
haha love this comment. But we missed you at the lodge stream last night my chat pro bro! Hope ur good
@@nickfromyuma1691 I’ve been good my friend! Just so busy with work lol
Keep going you still my favorite vloger to watch...
I been waiting for this videos
Wanted to hear your thoughts and transparency 🙏🏼
Tough session bud. Good luck grinding it back up & I hope your next shot goes better!
Your honesty and transparency through the debacle are refreshing. Thank you for sharing even this painful one.
Your vlogs are cooler than your real self.
You are a good guy, man! Keep strong, you are the best. That things happend
Watched the stream and felt bad for you and rampage, but that game is wild and I've seen swings of 6 figures all the time, with Garret, Gol, Krish and the rest. you guys will be back!
What was the song at the end? ps these are my favorite kinds of vlogs. You're a class act and I can learn from how you lose with grace.
Look forward to future videos @MarianoPoker. Thank you for sharing and being transparent. #EveryoneLovesComebacks #RevengePoker #LetTheRunGOODBegin 💪
The losses are as important as the wins… these types of logs really help put it in perspective for people who are trying to go to that next level. Chances are with your skill level, you will definitely surpass into the millions one day and this will just be a funny story you tell to your grandkids
