Learning the basics of grading, mintages, survival rates, and grading populations is critical if one wishes to gain even a rudimentary ability to value coins. Relying on apps to do this is dangerous to collectors and dealers alike, and really hurts the hobby!

I love roll hunting. But I know most are about $0.04 tops. It’s the thrill of the chase. However, I have found some fairly cool coins. Some are even in really good condition.

Daniel another great video. Most wheat pennies I can buy for 4 cents a piece. Most are worth not more than that. I use USA coin book , PCGS online and others. Many people think that they have a gold mine when they get these coins. I bought a set of 9 coins from 42 to 44 red to red brown in color. I didn't pay a lot for them. They are all in hard plastic holders. I didn't pay more than 14 for the set. People you got to do your own research on your coins. eBay is not a good guide for coins unless for world coins that you can't find in a book. I have the red book of world coins, but I don't see some of my coins in the book. Remember they can ask anything on-line for it. What I do is take the high price and the low price out and average in-between. That will be a more accurate price. Thanks again Daniel for the video.

I've purchased a couple of graded 40s wheaties from your website over the years. Nice coins to collect and pass on--just not winning lottery tickets in terms of future value. 😉
So so they're in it for the money then they're going to charge you to degrade saying that they're worth a lot of money so people could send them to them so they can make money I'm glad I ran into this video
I have pennies from the 70s from 71 all the way to 79 and they are in pretty good shape their circulated and I'm seeing videos saying that they're worth a lot of money no mint marks
I wouldn't be surprised at the corn graders are just putting out the videos so people could send their money in to get graded that's what I'm thinking I'm also thinking I think about it we paying for the for the grade and also the case it comes in after it gets graded think about it

I always put my RD wheat pennies in a cardboard holder,I really like the red wheats even when their pretty much common dates.

@@davidramirez9584 I think is around $23 and up depending on the service used and what options you want. So for most coins it is not worth the cost.
Maybe those websites that publish the inaccurate prices need COMMUNITY NOTES? LOL
