I like that shotgun only thing I dont like is the recoil pad to me it dont flow whith the rest of the gun everything looks good until I see the recoil pad just a little off to me but I still want one love the looks of it
Consider getting an Opsol Texas Miniclip for $15. It allows you to successfully cycle minishells. Also, consider moving the sling swivel stud to the back of bayonet lug so you can run a sling with an Ontario Blade bayonet...
Took mine out for the first time for clay shooting. I installed a Crimson Trace RAD Max Pro red dot and zeroed with a laser bore sight. The open reflex sight and Shake to Wake is fantastic and target acquisition is easy. Not too many pigeons hit the ground in one piece. 94 rounds of 12ga # 8 birdshot and not one hiccup. What a fun shotgun. The pump was fast and smooth to allow for A and B shots. It was bought mainly as a home defense shotgun though.
I hardly ever get notifications of replies anymore. I usually will at least notice if the channel gives the comment a heart. I'm looking to get my 1st 12ga & was thinking Mossberg too.
The Mossberg 500 is just a all-around great gun so much aftermarket parts for it and if you really want to go crazy they make the 590 Mariner model And thank you so much for commenting brother Really appreciate you
I just got the Mossberg 590 retrograde 18.5 barrel. I like the way the 18.5’ 590 barrel handles compared to the 20’ thick walled 590A1 barrel. I love my 590A1, but it is definitely heavier than the 590s. Just to add, I served in Army infantry and never saw a single 590A1. Maybe it’s the Navy and Marines that bought them up. I know the 590A1 was specifically designed for the Navy so…We had regular 18.5’ 500s with pistol grips in our armory.
Just got mine a week ago, second long gun I’ve ever fired.. first one was a ruger 22lr, so imagine my surprise when I shot a 12 gauge for the first time 😂 only 7 1/2 too… can’t wait to get some buck shot and slugs soon 😎

@@thor1911. shortly after I posted this I put together a daniel defense block II build and have fallen in love ever since. The mossberg doesn’t get much use any more and it’s my safe queen she sits beautiful cleaned and oiled up ready to go with the saddle full of buckshot.

I agree on not wanting all black shotgun. i dont judge anyone who has them I do like how they look but should it ever be used to defend home all black plays worse to many jurors then wooden furniture, or even camo synthetic (which I got) may seem more like a FUD gun or hunter, or grandpas shotgun to lesser gun friendly folks. regardless mossberg pumps are amazing, I love the heat shield for range days, worth the little extra weight for the value it offers and I do think it adds a cool trench gun vibe to the look. youtube does mess with notifications on 2A and other non child friendly content sadly. I wont hold it against you if you don't see this or reply 😅💚🙏

I just picked up a 590 new in a box for $450 at a pawnshop! I think a lot of the first time gun owners are starting to pawn the guns they bought with their stimulus checks. The market is flooded with used firearms so there’s definitely some deals out there.

For what it’s worth, I had a gun store owner tell me once that gun manufacturers do not make “Walmart guns” he said they wouldn’t risk ruining their reputation with a bunch of lesser quality guns out there bearing their name, because in the secondary market people might not know the difference. He actually told me the reason gun stores charge more is because of the after sale customer service you’ll receive where as at Walmart you’ll get zero help after the sale. But the guns are all the same quality

Be careful with the Remington 870. Remington changed hands and the quality control is become an issue. I shot it and the Mossberg 590 12ga Retro . I bought the Mossberg and I am not sorry.

Also the maverick 88 by Mossberg is a great budget shotgun that runs and runs and you won't have to worry about getting dings in it

I like the steel receiver on the Remington, I like the ergonomics on the Mossberg. Remingtons feel much smoother than Mossbergs. I own both.
